Deja Vu was a collaboration with Vespa's mobile game: King's Raid :) Pop Rock, J Metal, EDM Pop, Ballad, Game OST, KDrama OST, Solos and Covers .. they've done it all.
Deja Vu is one of my favorite Dreamcatcher song. The contrast of the song is so perfect. Delicate introduction, intimate voice VS the rock section of the chorus. The orchestra at the pre chorus and the choir at the chorus fit perfectly with the medieval and cathedral setting.
Can you please react to the "This is:" series, it is a popular fanmade series for you to get to know about each of the dreamcatcher members. And also I really loved this video, this is my favorite dreamcatcher title track along side chase me.
The theory I like the most is the one where Jiu is the queen and Yoohyeon is Jiu's childhood friend (as stated in the japanese MV), Yoohyeon is corrupted by evil (the dark mist) and, like in the King's raid story, turns against her friends. All her friends are isolated because Yoohyeon, controlled by the evil mist, got rid of them because they could get in between her and the throne. The first scene with the sword, where Yoohyeon is in white and Jiu in black, is Yoohyeon's side of the story, how she sees it, which i think is false because nothing is broken in the background, her thoughts are just manipulated into thinking she's innocent. But then, we have the real scene with the sword, where Jiu is in a beautiful dress, that could be so we know she's the queen, everything is broken and Yoohyeon is kneeling in a black outfit. Jiu, seeing her childhood friend defeated, felt sad and dropped the sword, she just couldn't finish her off, even if Yoohyeon was pure evil, Jiu still loved her and wanted her by her side. Which was not the same for Yoohyeon, who, consumed by the evil mist, got the sword and stabbed her in the back when Jiu turned around, that betrayal, making her the new evil queen. The title also fits because all though out the MV we can see the new evil queen having deja vu's about everything that happened, like when her friends surrounded her, disappearing and reappearing again and again. She might be queen, but she's alone.
Always wanted to put this comment because/before I've seen some non-InSomnias/non gamers had always done in other Deja Vu reaction vids; "So it's a mobile game OST? Why so deep/emotional story?". Some also may not understand why an indie game developer like Vespa was willing enough to rope in a kpop gg like Dreamcatcher and spent significant amount of money for song and MV production. Answer:- "By the end of 2019, the global gaming market is estimated to be worth $152 billion, with 45% of that, $68.5 billion, coming directly from mobile games." - TechCrunch. From Statista, the projected revenue growth for mobile games in SOUTH KOREA ALONE = $2.356 billion so let that sink in. For perspective = the ENTIRE HOLLYWOOD FILM INDUSTRY is rated at just $31.5 billion in 2020 that's 5X smaller ~ so... it's not rocket science that if any market player are in that, you either go serious or be stepped on half assed out of the door right quick. And King's Raid is a turn based RPG in a mobile format. An RPG game's 1 fundamental element:- "lore" = story. Without this, classes, characters, stats and skils in that game are just different designed "toons" with no real different "roles" to each' , which in turn defeats the very part of "roleplay" = what the letters "RP" are for. Think of "lore" as the foundation, a baseline setting to act out and play in. Now you know why there's that term RPG nerd going around for ages. The story line for this music video was never confirmed, it has alot to do with this game that the song was made for Kings raid, but my theory is basically that Jiu (the girl with the blonde hair that was holding the sword) betrayed the princess who was Yoohyeon by manipulating Yoohyeons thoughts about herself (the girl with the blue hair that was on her knee) and took over the kingdom, convincing everyone that she now had the rights to the throne since Jiu and Yoohyeon I believe in the storyline had some type of relationship going on lol, then the memorys repeated from the other members perspective often changing whos side it was, whether Yoohyeon was the betrayer or if Jiu was since no one knew the true story except for Jiu and Yoohyeon, then the conflict continues once Yoohyeon has made her way back into the storyline and now has killed her pass self no longer feeling any regrets for Jiu and has realized that she was not in the wrong and could not be subjected to Jiu's lies anymore, which I got from the song starting of saying "So now im holding this pain, Like the day I abandoned everything" to it turning into "So now i'm holding this pain, like the day *you* abandoned everything" Yoohyeon kills Jiu but then the Kingdom turns on Yoohyeon, and she is left alone, like they showed, the members fading out, the castle destroyed, and the last scene is a revelation of the first scene, by Yoohyeon killing Jiu she is no longer subjected to Jiu's lies, but now is subjected to darkness and loneliness the darkness being the clouds that surrounded her in the first scene also the dark sun vs the light sun repersenting how Yoohyeon is stuck between the light and the dark, wanting to move forward with her life (Light sun) but she can not forget her dreadful pass (dark sun). Also Jiu's ending where shes on the table and the lights in sparkles fly up I believe that is a sign that Jiu has found peace, she is no longer hell bent on making Yoohyeon look bad and ruining Yoohyeons life. thats my theory lol
ah, see, i disagree. although this is a very interesting theory! i think we see yoohyeon's state of mind both ways: HER reality vs actual reality. she and jiu became friends, and everyone disappearing around her during the second verse is the others that yoohyeon has betrayed to get to where she is, jiu being next. this is when it gets to what SHE thinks vs what actually happens. her reality is that jiu is the one who actually betrays her and she kills her for the good of the kingdom. the actual reality is that jiu spared yoohyeon's life and yoohyeon then used that fact to betray her. i think the use of colour in the mv, specifically between yoohyeon's floral outfit and her black one, show the differing timelines. i also think it's worth noting the good acting from yoohyeon in the last shots of her on the throne with the two moons behind her, the look of worry because she had to do what's right for the kingdom (what SHE thinks) vs the look of triumph because she's now queen (actual reality). but all the theories i've read are so interesting.

There are amazing RU-vid videos that talk about the different storylines and what is considered fandom acceptance and what is just conjecture. There is a good one for this MV that talks about the colors used and what they represent and the storyline they can confer from that.
Is it just me. I literally mistook the thumbnail, Gahyeon as Olivia hye Yoohyeon as Kim lip Siyeon as Choerry Jiu as Jinsoul I just woke up maybe thats why :)
Could you also react to Izone, there a 12 member group and one member Chaeyeon she is actually the older sister of Itzy's Chaeryeong, Itzy and Izone are pretty close because of that, the first song I suggest you listen to is La vie en rose, there debut song, also Wonyoung the maknae was only 13 in that song, shes 15 now.
