Silent Night kinda went viral for a Dreamcatcher song. I think it was one of their first bsides that the audio got over a million views on RU-vid. It's also a fan favorite at their concerts. To get the crowd hyped they started repeating the last part and demanding everyone to jump! It's so much fun. ^_^ Next album is one of my favorite albums of all time, Dystopia: The Tree of Language. Not one of my favorite Kpop albums of all time, one of my favorite ALBUMS of all time. Banger after banger after banger. A Masterpiece, truly!

Polaris came to be associated with Handong’s absence from dreamcatcher. I remember seeing some of the members cry during their performance of this song while holding a Handong cut-out, which is both funny and sad at the same time. Handong herself penned Chinese lyrics to the song as a response to her members when she was away.

yeah, when you first mentioned EDM with rock elements, everyone's minds went right to Silent Night. your reaction to it was predictable because of that, but really fun to watch.

Vespa(King's raid company) made best decision for ever to collaborate with dreamcatcher. King's raid is fallen after this because of bad decisions by management (nothing do with dreamcatcher), but i found dreamcatcher because of this collaboration. Ever since that my all time favourite playlist is dreamcatcher. Proud to a insomnia. Stan Dreamcatcher.

Watching your face thru this was EXCELLENT! (I mentioned Silent Night when you made that EDM comment, but I'm positive I was not the only one!) Hahahaha, they always do Silent Night at their concerts and they JAM! They headbang, they jump around the stage, it's a blast! If you look up a Silent Night fancam from the Reading, PA concert this past March, they played the end twice and poor Dongie laid down on the stage all tired after the first playthrough.... And then Dami screamed "ONE MORE TIIIIIIME!" and they started it over and Dongie was just laying on the stage like 😱 and jumped up so fast! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣 It was hilarious! I have a short video of all the light sticks going in unison during Silent Night from the back of the Performing Arts Center on my page, it was SO COOL to see from the back! They started that concert off with Chase Me and it was 👄👌! Also now that I am seeing this I feel kinda silly being like "hey watch the Deja Vu MV!" Heh! 😅 Also also, you are a champ just going hard doing these videos with a day job, make sure you get some rest and take time for yourself in between this, too! Another info tidbit - this whole time you've already met their hidden 8th/9th members - Leez and Ollounder who have composed/arranged/produced a huge chunk of the dreamcatcher discography (my guess is 80+%?) and record the instrumentals. (Also: there's an insomnicsy vid - "introducing dreamcatcher with their staff") Coming from listening to a lot of western rock/alt rock/metal etc, where bands might go 2-5+ years between albums, and slowly over time you see and hear how they experiment with their 'signature sound' and do different takes on it... discovering dreamcatcher was all of that condensed into a matter of months/years and sold me even more on the group. I just love the experimentation in the b-sides, and more recently the genre-blending in their title tracks of rock + X.

I love the idea of the experiment on your co-workers. You should just take all their different styles so the two you mentioned but also like endless night with how hard it goes, and also july 7th with how its so different too. Just a bunch of really different songs, then ask them which "group" they liked the best just to blow their minds when you tell them they are actually all done by the same group. I would kill to see those reactions lol🤯

DC is not just my fav K-pop group, but they are my fav GENRE! They are in a league of their own.. they try new things all the time but still somehow have such a distinct sound, it is so amazing and so fun going through their discography.

Dreamcatcher's voices fit so well in any music genre, and that just goes to show how talented they are.

When they performed polaris during their latest tour Jiu would lead the audience so that everyone would wave their lightsticks synchronously. It was so beautiful

Thanks for the video. I am also sad about the missing "Deja Vu" instrumental. The intros are usually appetizers and foreshadow what's about to come. This "Intro" in particular I think emcompasses this album. "Deja Vu" is what a lot of InSomnias consider a masterpiece. I'm in the same camp, even if it's not my favorite song. I can see and hear why it is. It's just so incredibly good. This is the one where I mentioned previously has DC's most iconic line in their whole discography. It's where HanDong sings "holding this pain". I'm really happy to see your reaction now that you know who's who in DC. It hits differently, doesn't it? I cannot wait for your reaction to your discovery videos! Especially with "Reason" now that you're a full blow InSomnia. You had pretty visceral reaction to it without knowing them. But now that you do, I think it will hit you harder. For some reason I think of Power Rangers when I listen to "The curse of the Spider". No idea why. I also wanted to mention there's another self made MV for this! There's no official source, but fancams. I definitely recommend a watch if you're doing the other self made MV's. It's hilarious and there's an HD fancam out there. In their last Halloween concert they also dressed up and made a sort of clip for this whole song too. I really really really dig how HanDong starts "Silent Night". That aggressive start always has me sit up in my seat and perk my ears up. The lower registers of HanDong, SuA, and Gahyeon are some of the best I would say. I knew you would love it. "Silent Night" could probably be my top favorites, but I will be honest. Due to the EDM, which I'm not that big of a fan of, it's not. But dang is this song freakin infectious live in concert. "Silent Night" was one of the songs that my cousin (who doesn't really like DC) got hooked on because of the concert. The members has the audience jump to the last part of the song along with Dreamcatcher. Then when it's done, one of them says "again?" and bam it keeps getting replayed. It's so much fun and energetic because of course they tend to play it towards the end of their concerts. If you ever have some time and need an energy boost, just watch a fancam of it. It's so good. The way you just let yourself be immersed in "Polaris" reminded me of how I first heard it. It hits you right in your feels. To this Yup, you are right. Siyeon's usually the one who does the backing/layered voice. It has become so attached to HanDong because it was around this time that she left to China for the survival programs. If you get a chance or need a good cry, watch the "Polaris" clip at Milan. The girls became so emotional because the fan prepared flashes of their phones to look like stars, like polaris, during this song. SuA started crying in the beginning. Siyeon tries to confort her, while tearing. Then Gahyeon starts to cry. JiU tries to comfort SuA, while teasing her. And that works for bit. But once the final chorus comes in with HanDong's voice pretty much every sheds a tear. Besides DAMI who is holding it in. After what the fans did, HanDong's voice was the straw that broke the camel's back. The girls have also said in vlives and what not that they cried because they missed HanDong so much. Also HanDong sings it as part of her Chinese medley. So I can't help but tear up whenever I hear this song. Also btw, if you want to know who the criers are in the group. They are Siyeon and Gahyeon, followed by JiU and SuA, followed by Yoohyeon and HanDong, then DAMI. Agree with you 100% about the instrumentals. Just wait til you hear their outros.

I've been patiently waiting for you to get to Silent Night 😁 It's definitely up there in my group of top DC songs. You should check out some fan cams of the last US tour for both Silent Night and Polaris. Silent Night live is honestly one of the best things in the entire world, and I think you would also appreciate Lightstick Director JiU for Polaris, even if you just check them out in your own time instead of as a reaction 😊

The Raid of Dream intro is one of my two favorite intros. It's actually hard to pick favorite DC intros, that's how ridiculous they are😂 Also, I got to see Curse of the Spider and Silent Night live, those are both in my top five B-sides. intro is super sick as always. i love that deja vu mixes soft piano with rock, the two things i love the most in music haha. the curse of the spider is def a reference to nightmare and i feel it's sung from the perspective of the girls (verses, bridge) and the spider itself (prechorus n chorus) not wanting them to wake up. the bridge is a dead giveaway, "Trapping you in a glass bottle, light the flames once more." It's even sung by JiU, who trapped the spider, and Yoohyeon, who burned the spider. no one is ever ready for silent night. i knew it from the moment you pressed play. when they play this live, everyone goes crazy, especially at the breakdown. Polaris is a super emotional song, it's Dongie's favorite and when she was stuck in China everyone got emotional

There is a fan video of a concert in Milan where they are singing Polaris but it was the time when Handong had gone to China and they start crying in the parts that Handong sings. Every time I see that video or hear that song it breaks my heart because it reminds me of that moment.

Oh heck yeah, the album I've been waiting for you to reach... IMO, Deja Vu is a true masterpiece in every way... From the song, visuals, vocals, MV, choreo, concept, everything.. And it's my favourite of all DC tracks! And this is the true start where DC upgrades/evolve to a whole new level till now. Also, as I've said before, their intros tease the vibe for the whole album Polaris, yeah, it's an emotional for the girls cause Handong left for China, and didn't go for their world tour. So everytime they sang it, there were tears, and they brought a lifesize Handong together on stage.

It's always so funny to see reactors go through their discography chronologically and with every album/song they say: no THIS is my favorite 😄 And we still have The Tree of Language to go 😅 I'm also looking forward to your reaction to the Dodging Disbandment video by mera.

Im late to the party but in my personal opinion Alone in the City was a turning point mark for Dreamcatcher discography. Their bsides were already very high quality before that mini album, but it was in AitC that their range started to get so vast, and i guess they enjoyed the attention their bsides were getting, so it kinda felt (to me) the moment they decided to go down on the "versitile bsides, lets do every genre possible" path that they have going on right now. From Alone in the City onwards their bside songs are very very fresh and different, it's like they are forcing you to see they can do anything and everything. For this album, Raid of Dream, they earned the title of "bside powerhouse" in some midia articles, which is deserved, and for the next album, they will take it to a complete new level. Brace yourself because the bside songs will only get better from now on, and Dystopia: Tree of Language is still considered, for a good portion of the fandom, their best album. There isnt one single bad song, there isnt even a "regular" song in that thing.

the girls said even though the nightmare era is over, curse of the spider was meant to give us some of the backstory of the spider yooh burned! the lyrics around the end of the song especially hint at that, where yooh says “i keep it in a glass bottle + i’ll set it on fire again” and dami says “i was wrong, it’s not over, i can help you it’s okay you’re not alone” where she’s supposedly addressing the curse of the spider yooh killed!

A lot of people called Silent Night Sleepwalking pt2. There's a part 3! Curse of the Spider is 1 of 2 Title Track candidates that went on to become Fly High. Fly High and You & I had such long spacing between releases and this is where they would have slotted in.

Silent Night is the best song in the concerts, please check it out you will LOVE IT

Ι have the same goal in my work too and my boss started to listen to a lot of kpop and i am sooo happy cause she plays sometimes some ive or blackpink or even seventeen and bts and i am having the best time ever

As far as I am aware, the title song is the only song relating to the game. In my top three DC albums including the two full albums. The only album I managed to purchase in-store from HMV. They still sell K-Pop, but have not had any DC since. Polaris is superb.

You could maybe start looking for fan made clean instrumentals, they're too good to miss out but for some reason the producers stopped including them at all since DLM (BOCA). Reason got one finally after years and everyone freaked out but on the new mini they don't seem to have changed so no official instrumental for BONVOYAGE :(

I can't listen to polaris without actually crying lmao

my one wish is for a fully "naked" ballad from them. No real backing track, just maybe a piano or violin, and their vocals. Polaris is almost 100% perfect for me as a ballad if they had just kept that soft piano as the only instrumental, the addition of the drums and additional strings knocks it down to 99.9% perfect.

Lol the intro to raid of dreams hits you in a certain way didn't it! 😂 To answer your "curse of the spider" question, I don't think there is any link besides the title of the song to the nightmare Era. And speaking of that if you have the oculus quest 2, there is an app that debut with Dreamcatcher with a mini concert titled "curse of the spider" it's about a 30 minute VR concert and you are front center and see the girls in life size 3d, it's like a personal concert just for you. Also the song Deja Vu is the only song in collab with Kings Raid. The rest are just part of the album. Can't wait to see more reactions to the next albums!
