First time I see your reactions, glad to see you're enjoying DC, one of the few rare groups that combine a super diverse discography with a distinct unique sound, and consistently deliver quality
Yeah, you were thinking of Endless Night, that's the super-hard song, but it is not their heaviest. 😉 Silent Night is to me what would come out of old Genesis being forced to write an EDM song. It is very intelligently done, and I love how the chorus surprises. The ending of course is a banger live!
I'm only just catching up on your journey with Dreamcatcher so far and I'm really enjoying seeing you really falling into this rabbit hole. With a few exceptions (Red Sun, Wind Blows, etc.), a lot of their B-sides actually don't have any choreo. During concerts, the B-sides are usually the time where they get to interact with fans and just go wild enjoying themselves on stage. It's during these that you can actually see their individual personalities shine. To me, these B-sides are actually what I look forward to the most for concerts more than the title tracks! Hopefully you'll get to see them live one day, their concerts are a life changing experience!
New Days has been one of their encore songs for a long time and was the final song up until Reason came out earlier this year. The really high/powerful adlibs are usually Siyeon and the adlibs that are runs or have nice little vocal flourishes are typically Yoohyeon. Siyeon has all of that power and Yoohyeon has a very soulful voice, so they fit those respective roles very well. Is there something they can't do vocally? I don't think so, and you've still got so much more to hear. Jazz, Reggae, Funk, ballads, they do it all. Not to mention the covers that they do. Silent Night is THAT concert song. It's the one where they just go off, all the members are bouncing around on the stage, and sometimes they do that last instrumental section multiple times over and over. Producers were Leez & Ollounder. They've been with DC since the beginning. Leez has recently signed an exclusive contract with a different company, so he wasn't present for their latest release: Apocalypse: From Us, but the other members of Edenary have been helping with production the last few comebacks and they stepped in to fill in the gap left by him leaving.
I can totally see it being an encore song, it has that kind of energy! Funk?! *furiously writes down...find funky dreamcatcher ....* I'm sad I won't get to see it now, but hopefully its on the set list next time around! Oh that's interesting about Leez I was wondering why he had left.
@@SylverReacts Their diversity in their b-sides is impressive. All the ones you've heard are what I would consider hype songs. Those were specifically chosen, I'd assume, since it's for a concert and it's a short setlist. They usually sprinkle in some of the less energetic tracks throughout their normal length concerts.
If you're doing album reactions, don't skip the intros (and outros if any). It sets the mood for the album. Just a friendly reminder in case someone getting upset😅
Yes, the Intros are just amazing, especially the ones from Nightmare Era. Welcome To Dream (Intro to Chase Me) is my absolute favourite! Intro for Bonvoyage is currently my second favourite. Please don't miss these!😃 (And if you do a reaction for the Intros that would be so great, but no pressure!)
When you think it's a love song, it is basically a love letter to InSomnia. They are as invested in loving the fandom, as the fandom invested in loving the group. And yes, New Days is the best Dami rap. It's unmatched. My second favorite is Black or White. And if Dami, you should listen to the OST she did with Siyeon. Shadow and Shadow slow ver. I prefer the slow ver. it hits harder. If you liked Silent Night, you should listen to In The Frozen, too!
"Silent Night" is epic live. They go wild and repeat the ending over and over lol. So fun, like their own mini-rave. I really hope I get to experience it live one day.
When I saw them in March here in Los Angeles silent night was definitely a highlight. I wasn't the last song but it was awesome because they did that last drop into the EDM beat not once not twice but three times it was so energetic and somehow throughout all the loudness of the beats music and people screaming, sua chanting and hyping up the crowd was clearly audible (shocker) and my favorite moment of the whole show. Also I'm sorry they cancelled the show you were going to. I felt the same way when they came last July and thought I had missed my chance but they came back in March and I know and can't wait till you get your chance as well.
You should see the live preformance ending for this song in their last tour. After that beat drop, they turn the lights on and scream, "one more time!!!" And the room turns to red strobe lights and they play the ending again. In the LA concert, the one I went to, they did the ending 3 times.
New days is talking about the period of time during covid19. Like the disappeared time between Dreamcatcher and Insomnia 😢 It was a difficult time for small companies like Dreamcatcher.
Basically almost all of their song was always SiYeon doing the background vocal. You can hear her strong rock tone high note on it. Silent Night is just a epic song. That last part they always do a few times on their concert encore.
New Days would be in the bottom 50% of their songs for me. This was the first album I struggled with. It has now gone up for me. Silent Night is in the top 50 and is one of my fave albums.
It was LEEZ and Oullander the name of their producers, but now it's Oullander mainly and i don't really know why LEEZ droped out but he also droped Ateez. Nice reaction as always! I guess you can return to apocalypse trilogy since it has just "Maison" and "Vision" to check out and then we can start the b-sides again. I think that Dystopia: Road to Utopia might be my favorite mini album, title track is Odd Eye, the songs are just so amazing and i love all of them. Newdays was the last song from that album!

It sucks that you’re show got cancelled! And I having a suspicion that was probably one of the shows I was debating going to myself as well! 👀 New Days was my favorite song from them for the longest time until Bon Voyage came out. But it’s still my favorite B-side to date at least.
I wish I could, but I don't think a flight and hotel is in the budget right now, but hopefully they'll be back in the area soon enough and I'll get to see them on a full tour stop!

Dami wrote "New Days", I know sometimes that's related to her writing her rap, but sometimes it's about her work on a whole song, and she'll also have a composing credit. I can't recall what "New Days" falls under, but just that she has a writing credit for it. It's one of my absolute favorites. JiU and Dami write quite a bit. 😊 they all have writing credits for solos, though.
Heavier dc goes to their japanese tracks like dont light my fire and no more. Endless night too. My personal liking goes to dont light my fire it brings the nostalgic feel of 90's rock. Mame me remeber my days when i got my 1st rock tape as a birthday present😂
Nice reaction I like your reactions, and I would suggest if you can have a first listen to the song without any pauses, and then the second listen where you comment, cuz I feel sometimes the random pauses might ruin the experience when you unconsciously pause on a significant point. All the love 💜

Both covers were done by the Yaja Time, which is a goofy subunit of Dreamcatcher comprised of Yoohyeon, Siyeon, & Sua. The "official" sub-group is as follows. Leader Tape (Yoohyeon) Rapper Nibal (Siyeon) Maknae Bong (SuA) Tape, Nibal, & Bong are their stage names, lol.
Silent night wasnt my favorite song at first but then i saw it live... i dont think any song gives me the chills like the outro to silent night does. Even though i dont hear it live anymore the song just gives me a feeling that no song does. Very happy to see you react to it. Hope you get to have that same experience some day. Seems its on their setlist everytime as well. Perhaps the girls love it just as much as i do! Much love fam ❤
Everytime i heard New Days, im always imagine the New Days Music Film by @insomnicsy. She make 🔥 fan's MV for the song. Maybe you can react to her vids, like the famous "This is..." series or the "Introduction..." series. (@insomnicsy is a fan yt channel for Dreamcatcher, and it the only most known for it among InSomnias, and even DC members have react to her vids)
