Sahara is one of the best MV's ever made. I also love how they get their staff to go along with their crazy. I also love how the company just let them do what they do cause they know the fans love it. Dreamcatcher are of a different breed
Poison Love has the most emotional attachment for me because I feel like it represents how most InSomnia were feeling. This was during Odd Eye era which was Handong's first comeback in a year and that was a very stressful year. Many groups lost their Chinese members that year and the longer Handong was gone the more Somnies would worry we were next. There's a whole struggle meme of Somnies freaking out and celebrating her plane landing only to find out she wasn't on that plane. 🤡 So, when she did finally come back, the Poison Love mv really shows how we were all feeling during that time.
It is not a song, but also made during the pandemic was their two part "World of the Married" k-drama parody with Siyeon playing multiple roles. It is hilarious. If you are curious after that, somebody made a side by side comparison with the original series and shows how well they recreated some of the scenes. Some of the spirit of that showed up in "Poison Love" which was their welcome back to Handong.
The key to fully enjoying Sahara and Break the Wall is having the lyrics in front of you. All of their actions in each scene correspond to the lyrics, such as at the start where Siyeon cuts the red ribbon / the red sand meeting its end or Dami looking for an oasis (the water fountain). For BtW, they substituted Siyeon for siryeon, which means challenge. She was pushed around because they were overcoming the challenge.
Another pandemic attributed masterpiece you should check out: The world of Dreamcatcher (their parody on a popular k-drama called The world of the married) For me Sahara's chorus is unbeaten among the Dystopia series
It's hard to pick but I'd say Poison Love is my favourite song and the fact that everyone falls in love with Handong, including Handong, is hilarious. It was like a "welcome back" treat for Handong after she finally got back from China. That said, the Sahara video is still superior - so funny - plus it has purple-haired JiU, the supreme JiU!

I love their Self-made MVs. I wish we had one for Whistle. I hope we get one for Locked Inside A Door. I think Poison Love is possibly my favorite self made, but I also love Break the Wall and Sahara.. Poison Love is my 3ed fav b-side and the MV is based around Handong, so that probably why it’s my fav. Sahara, Break the Wall and Poison love were filled during promotions and such, but it’s put together in a way that I can pass as an actual MV. Poison Love.. they all want Han Dong’s love/attention, but Dong only loves herself. It is believed that each member represents a different kind of love.

My beverage of the day (or at least right now) is 아침 햇살 (Morning Sunlight); kind of a Korean breakfast drink made from rice extract. 😋 0:25 Sahara was filmed during a _different_ kind of boredom; the pandemic had only just started, and lockdowns hadn't really kicked in yet. When they're promoting a single (in this case, Scream), they obviously do all the music shows. But each time they do, they're basically at the studios _all day,_ even though they're only really filming for an hour or two at most. This gives them a _lot_ of time to kill. They might spend some of this time rehearsing, snacking, napping, or playing games on their phones. And sometimes they'll come up with stuff like this. So its actually filmed in the green rooms and corridors of the various TV studios, which would be why you recognise those stairs... 😉 4:45 I always love Siyeon's smiling eye here..! 😂 6:00 This bit here is demonstrating how they decided who'd take which place in the pyramid at the end. Glad you had fun 😆💜 I think my favorites out of these songs is Poison Love. and it terms of MV, Break The Wall is my favorite, although Handong is my bias :) also, I got some good news for you. there are 2 other selfxmade MVs, if you wanna watch. the first one is for the song “July 7th”, which has a serious and more professional special clip. the other one is “The Curse of The Spider”. the bad news is “The Curse of The Spider” MV hasn’t been published, you can only find/watch it through fancams, since they only played it in a concert. loved the reaction 💜💜
I recommend Insomnicsy’s channel for videos of DC being silly :) they’re so chaotic! So much so they’re asked if they’re drunk every vlive 😂😂 They’re also more unfiltered than most idols, and have a lot more adult humour. I recommend having a look on their channel and just choosing what interests you :) Dreamcatcher b-sides are so awesome! I highly recommend Trap :)

Thanks for the video. This is a bit late, but your reactions are great. As others have mentioned there are more self made MVs. "July 7th" is on show champion, heads up it's not the full song. "Curse of the Spider" has a great fancam on RU-vid. There's also a "BOCA" self made mv on show champion I think, that not a lot of people know about. Would like to see a reaction of them, but understand if you don't want to. Also, on Dreamcatcher's official vlive, there's a subtitles version of "Break the Wall" so you can see how the lyrics straight up match the video.

Dreamcatcher's two online Crossroads concerts they did last year contain most of their songs. The first one is Utopia which was all acoustic and had their ballads plus rearranged versions of some of their more upbeat songs. No dancing. yeah unfortunately break the wall and poison love didn't have eng captions so it doesn't have the same effect. they are essentially acting out the lyrics so it would have been equally funny had the lyrics been onscreen. the self made mv concept wasn't born from the pandemic since they had a few beforehand. it was just a little extra for fans during their downtime during music shows. both sahara and break the wall had message which you mentioned and is a recurring theme throughout their discography. keep in mind their name so a lot of their songs are about not giving up on your dreams even if it seems everyone is against you and even if the situation looks hopeless. poison love concept is a little different since it was handong's return and they wanted to show her some love :D

Dreamcatcher is just _so_ incredibly ridiculous offstage (I say this with the utmost affection). I know Kpop fans like to talk about the concept of duality a lot, but I think Dreamcatcher as a whole group is just a master of it. Put them in a room together and they'll act like thirteen year olds at a sleepover; put them on stage and they'll act like they're ready to seduce and stab you in the same breath.
