MBTI is actually never tied with any scientific thing 😅 Instead, it's the contrary to the scientific basis of psychology which states that every individual is not the same (each individual has its own characteristics that no one else has). It just like the fun way to describing someone in that moment. MBTI is like a trend in the 2020's above, just like everything else that was trending in the early 2000's.
