I absolutely agree. Behringer needs to have this guy as a rep to help sell their synths or they at least need to send him a free synth like maybe the new monopoly.. This particular video was why I bought my Neutron.
I've ordered a Behringer Odyssey, and when it arrives, maybe I'll do a demo track of it in the same style as this one? Subscribe and click the notification bell to get a notification when new videos are uploaded. :)
For transparency, I do not get paid or receive free instruments or anything like that from Behringer (although I really wish I did!). I just like the sound and price of their instruments, as my budget is very tight. The Behringer instruments that I've got (Neutron, soon the Odyssey, and maybe the VC340, we'll see) let me create sweet analog sounds at a cost that I can afford. If Behringer hadn't released these instruments at these prices, I wouldn't have bought instruments from their competitors - I wouldn't be able to afford analog synths in general. So a big thank you to Behringer for making it possible for me to explore true analog sound. This doesn't mean that digital synths (VSTs etc.) are out of the picture, but the analog synths give me a lot of the sounds and the inspiration that I'm after. I don't percieve myself as a Behringer fanboy that will love everything they make and hate everything else - I love almost all synths! But Behringer's combination of quality and price is very hard to ignore.
VSTs brought back my interest in synths of any kind and, as I could never afford to own another ever again, they are a Godsend to me and I have too many now! Saying that there are a handful that I will always come back to; CS-80, Jupiter-8, all Moogs and a few Waldorfs. I will have to check my collection to see what I have that could replicate this Behringer Neutron - and I like the idea of your Patch Sheets so I can see what settings you have.
@@mikeexits I really love Omnisphere (I took my musical name from it) and I've owned it since it was called Atmosphere. It has been very expensive to use with all the updates. But, since I got a Prophet Rev2, Deepmind 12, and Moog Grandmother I've not touched Omni in about a year. Now that I pre-ordered Korg's Wavestate and the Hydrasynth, I doubt that Omnisphere will be needed except for something truly exotic.
The beauty of this demo is the time and effort it took to display the exact patches. Many people on youtube say here check out the sounds I made with my Neutron, Crave etc...and never show how they patch the sounds up like it's some kind of national secret. I commend you for putting the best well together Neutron demo on RU-vid. Thanks, again!
Cant stop listening to your music. What you do is both nostalgic and magical. I get goosebumps all over. I own a neutron myself but dont make sounds even close to as good as this. Please release an album.
This is a great composition and very well arranged. Seriously the best demo of the neutron I’ve heard. I’d say behringer should be throwing kit at you! ...it made me order one.
Just got my Neutron a few weeks ago. Still was a bit uncertain how I would best use it, but then I heard this . . . very inspiring. A bit more info about the patch setups would be great, but I will never doubt what a Neutron might be capable of. Thanks for posting.
Amazing! Both musically and practically. Great idea with showing these patches throughout your song (which is very good btw). I love how you used a single instrument to record so many different tracks.
Came to see the Neutron in action, stayed for the music. Absolutely great to close your eyes and dream away. Behringer should totally send you gear to demo because you just sold this synth to me.
This is a beautiful piece of music, reminiscent of some of Jarre's BEST material!!! Absolutely stunning, in terms of both sound design and tone, and overall composition. Thank you!
I just bought one of these. it is just amazing!!! This makes my 4th Behringer product. I have a Deep Mind 12, a Model D, a K-2 and now the mighty Neutron!
As someone new to the Neutron I'd like to thank you sincerely, giving the patches out has helped me gain more understanding of this beast in my rack, cheers!
I can only add my gratitude along with the others. I just bought a Neutron (it hasn't even arrived yet) and was looking around for inspiration. This page is the mother lode. This is exactly the type of music I hope to create and now I know just how possible it may be. Thank you for sharing.
Absolutely stunning! It inspired me to pick my Neutron again....but 'Neutron demo' does not qualify here (dare i say it even is a bit misleading and may trick people into buying one and be dissapointed...?). I would say this is a brilliant way to expose your fantastic skills on focusing on just the Neutron, combined with multi-tracking and layering skills, and finally a lot of perseverance! It is brilliant!
I'm just watching analog synths demos, choosing between two: PRO-1 and Neutron. And my thoughts were drifting towards former one. During listening this piece I'm feelling like Neutron more interesting for me now. If not the budget aspect I'd acqured each of them
Thank you for taking the time and making the effort to share your talent. I appreciate it. BEHRINGER should also appreciate it - if anything could convince me to buy a Neutron, this would be it.
This song definitely inspires some nostalgia reminds me of the 1980s fantasy movies like labyrinth, never ending story and among others from the 80s awesome work
Very nice. On a side note; why do I always see the name of fellow Norwegians, when I browse synth channels? I guess we are born with skis on our feet and a synth in our hands....
I was looking for some examples of what the Neutron sounded like and found this beautiful music. Thank you. I am looking forward to listening to more of your creations in the future.
I think you just convinced me to get one. The main problem I have had, has been how when I want to play something do I get all the awesome sounds. Watching your video has reminded me I can just sample them, and play them back (using my poor neglected SP-606). Time to do some lock-down shopping.
On strength of this video I’ve just placed an order for one, was getting fed up with some demos of Neutron playing bass notes and white noise etc, it really needed a great song to show it off and you’ve hit the Bullseye 😎
I've been holding out for their Pro-1 to hit my usual store, but this has possibly changed my mind and saved me money. Your demo is the most musical Neutron audio I've heard, great job!
This track is absolutely stunning. It's beautiful music and awesome programming. I can't remember if it was the inspiration for picking one of these brilliant little synths up or not, but I did and it heavily featured in my latest Epic Steampunk album due to be released any moment. It's an epically brilliant little synth, but my god you have really made it sing. Outstanding, wonderful track. I agree with all the other comments about this being one of the best synth demos (with patch sheets!) out there - period.
I love your old school patch sheets. Now that’s synthesis. Another great jam dude. I am very pleased I found your channel. I subbed immediately, very inspiring.
I really enjoyed this piece. The patches are all very complementary and it comes together into an interesting composition that's a pleasure to listen to.
Happily played this track several times now. Can't get enough of it. Such uplifting music. Definitely needs a real release with some of your other tracks.
That progression to the major chord at 5:10 sold me ;-) Great job! Technically and also musically, really tasteful. As a violin player and electronic music lover in one person I mean this very honestly...
Thank you so much for posting this with the patch sheets! That extra work is really appreciated, especially researching what to spend my money on next....
This is superb work. Really superb. I have just received mine and will be playing with in the next few days. When I finish my current project, I am going to go through this video and reconstruct every one of your sounds as learning challenge. A beautiful piece of music and superb synth-fu.
My SoundClick and BandCamp pages have now been updated with my latest pieces. If you want to buy downloadable audio files and support this channel, you'll find the links under "Info" on my channel page. Thanks for watching. :) Rune
