It is raining season right now, and Banderas Bay is surround for lots of rivers that brings human pollution to the ocean. This is one of the best surf spots in the area, that is why the resorts is Dreams Surf & Spa resort. This place doesn’t looks the same In person.
We were there in February. The beach did not look like that at all. I have some photos I took but don't think I can post them here. Yes, the beach is rocky and you need to wear water shoes. There were lots of local surfers in the ocean when we were there and it was fun to watch them. While the beach may not be the best, we knew it would be like that before we went (we travel to this area often). We actually thought the resort overall was quite nice. We stayed on the Secrets side, Preferred.
Well between February and now it's gone downhill. Lots of other people there said exactly the same. Staff training needs to be improved. One time they had one bar man on with 65+ guests at the bar.
Thank you for this beach walk as it is really hard to tell from photos exactly how the beach & ocean is. My husband and I are ocean people rather than pool people. The resort looks very nice but the beach is definitely disappointing ( more so after seeing inside the water too ) . I look forward to more of your videos of the resort if you have any more.
