This has been my just let it all out and cry song for as long as I can remember. Im a troubled introvert, and this song just resonates with me and has since childhood.
An American Tail and Fievel Goes West are very underrated movies. To this very day, they are so much better than many critically acclaimed animated films.
Just discovered this cover and WOW!!! Simple remarkable, it really felt like Tanya Mousekewitz grew up and remade the song. I feel like I need to rewatch Fievel Goes West. Linda Ronstadt’s version is one of my favs, glad to hear someone this decade cover it
My absolute favorite version of this song. This version soars over the two originals. It has the strength that Cathy lacked, but the girlish crystalline quality that Linda lacked. It’s the best of all worlds and by the time you get to 3:39, I have tears in my eyes. I listen to this at least once a month and recorded it on my phone so I always have access to it. It’s just utterly perfect. You are such a talent.
Girlish crystalline, never heard that phrase before, but it fits perfectly. This is the kind of song a young woman would sing, and Linda just didn’t have that kind of voice anymore when recording her version of it.
Oh wow.... No words to describe how enchanting this is. Listening to this after so many years, when I first heard it as a child. Brings me to tears, literally. Here's to your dreams, no matter who you are, no matter what you are going through, we can dream together.
Yeah i do too there is just something about her voice that will just make you stop what you are doing and listen it's just such a powerful song that it will make you cry 😭
No Linda Ronstadt is the original and no one can compare to her voice. While I know Linda Ronstadt has pretty much lost her singing abilities her version will always be the best. Wow I agree this girl Sarah has a beautiful voice as well can't take the place of the original sorry.
*sniff wipes tears away* every time I hear this song even when I was a kid I can't help but cry a little in a good way because the way Tanya sings it is just ... Amazing. *sniffs* thank you so much.
If there was recover of Fieval film in Blu-ray. It should include this cover song to Tanya's Dreams to Dream. Excellent & Well done in bring such nostalgic times back to 90's and such an honor to be one of James Horner's original scores.
Lyrics: I lose my way No one cares The words I say No one hears My life it seems is a world of dreams Deep in the night You'll find me Dream and you're right behind me Stay...if you will stay We'll dream the night away Dreams to dream In the dark of the night When the world goes wrong I can still make it right I can see so far in my dreams I'll follow my dreams until they come true There is a star Waiting to guide us Shining inside us When we close our eyes Come with me You will see what I mean There's a world inside No one else ever sees You will go so far in my dreams Somewhere in my dreams Your dreams will come true Don't let go If you stay close to me In my dreams tonight You will see what I see Dreams to dream As near as can be Inside you and me They always come true Inside you and me They always come true
I sang this time my daughter when she a toddler, before bed, along with somewhere over the rainbow, and James Taylor - close your eyes. Though she may not remember it now, it holds a fond memory in my heart of being a father. When I didn't have a clue what I was doing, but knew I'd love and protect her my entire life. I love Addy ❤️
This song is one of my favorite childhood songs and I'm really moved by this. She's an angel to this song. This really had me into tears of joy back to my childhood.
Sweet sanity...I was in another tab while this song was playing, and when that "dreams to dream" part came on, my eyes literally began to water. That takes some skill. VERY well done. And a beautiful voice.
This song/voice is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!! I think they might have hit the thumbs down by mistake:) lol!! I love the original version but this version is AMAZING!!
its so hard to find a good cover to a song that was in one of my favorite movies when I was kid. When I heard this my jaw dropped and I was like, "whoa....".
This has to be my favorite cover of this song. My only regret is that it's not available on Spotify to list to more often. It's so beautiful and amazing. Thank you!
Whenever I need a little inspiration in my life, I watch this video first. Boy but its good. Honestly if Sarah was ever going to do a concert, if she sang this song, i would pay sooo much money to see it. Id stay for the rest of her concert too obviously.
Your voice breaks the dark chains from the evil of this world and reminds those who hides in the shadows of the night that is a choice to shine like the moon in the night sky so that those shadows that tortures the souls flees from the sight of light that shines in each heart, the first step is to love yourself and your neighbor. Thank you for this video
The RU-vid algorithm has failed yet again. 9 years RU-vid, 9 YEARS! Why? This is incredible. This took me back to my childhood in a way I didn't expect. Amazing! Thank you for this experience!
Bravo Sarah! Wow, what an enchanting cover! You did this song justice and I’m floored! I’m 37 years old and I have loved this song since my Dad bought me the Fievel Goes West soundtrack on cassette in 1992. Brings back nostalgia and memories of my childhood during the 1990s. I miss those days. Excellent job Sarah!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Man, I remember when this song was playing all over the radio back in the early 90's. Seemed nearly every time I got into the car, on the radio when the alarm clock went off before going to school or even playing over the sound system at work there it was! Turned out to be from a cartoon movie! Not long after I became a big fan of James Horner's work. Got quite hooked on the song, but I felt like it would have been prettier if song just a bit softer. I think you nailed it. Very nicely done!
Even after discovering this gem so many years ago, this still brings a tear to my eye as if I had heard it for the first time. Thank you so much for this.
This song suddenly haunted me in my dreams, so I desperately tried to Google it in my dreams until somehow recalled where the song came from in my memory. And when I woke up in the middle of the night, Googled it find there was a Linda Ronstadt version, I wanted one that was closer to Tanya’s voice version. And voila, I found you version. My heart is pleased. Thank you.
Every time i hear this song it brings back memories of when i was little and it just makes me cry every time i hear it very beautiful song and a very beautiful voice i love this song
