are you asking ,"WHERE DO I GET WOOD TO CARVE WITH ?" : I put a free ad on Craigslist wanted section asking for any kind of wood chunks (of any kind of wood) for wood carving . i also stuck a wood carving picture of an owl from google images and i got 20 emails or so . also, go by your river banks and look for wood thats been in the water for years . good stuff is out there for free. im not cheap , im poor XD

Excellent Tiki Jord, took some of your advice upgraded dremel and got a Foredom, and some kutzall burrs,, holy hell what a difference. Really helps, just need to save up for the bigger hand piece to accept 1/4 inch. Carve on bro

The wood may be clear old growth fir, which may be getting hard to find. Love the tiki.

I tried but a damn termite popped out when dremmeling now I'm traumatized. Also don't use diamond on wood. Shouldn't be smoking like that

Hey I just got my self dremel its a 4000 I've been watching your video you was the 1st guy I've been watching i like your videos easy to learn.

i have a question.I just started carving with a dremmel myself but i cant seem to find the right bits what bits do you use ?

I just purchased corded Dremel 4300. And I also bought , supposedly a "Speed control" foot pedel. Which doesn't really work as a speed control. All it does is work as a ON/OFF switch. I read in some comments that you can only run 4300 at the highest speed with FOREDOM foot control, orherwise it will damage the 4300. Is that true? Reaching out to turn ON or OFF 4300 is not convenient, and I like to use both hands at the project. Any thoughts/recommendations? Thanx !

Question???? I have both a foredom SR and a dremel 4000 with a flex shaft on it, should say I had the dremel , yesterday it burnt up🙁. I like using both for carving, keeping a burr in each and switching between the two rotary tools as wanted. Is the 4300 any better than the 4000? Is there some other similar style to dremel that lasts better, this is my 2nd dremel in 2 years. Any recommendations??? I prefer using a flex shaft not hand holding the actual tool itself. Thanks!

Tikis aren't my thing..but..my neighbor's daughter put a raised porch on her place this past fall..right before cold weather came and hasn't been able to use it...maybe I'll give it a try and give it to her for a birthday present in April...
