Here is my review of the Dremel Lite cordless rotary tool. It is clearly aimed at home crafts but it can be used for more heavy work.

I have several dremels, and I use the lite at least five times a day. I love it. I really like that. It has slower speed than the standard dremels. There’s certain materials I simply can’t work with because the base speed of regular dremel are still too fast. This is a hidden secret in my field really, and opened up a lot of time saving for me. It’s definitely worth having. I do know that if you were trying to do some serious sanding with it, it will heat up pretty fast and you might get a half hour out of it but for start stop stuff wire, brush, cleaning and grinding, etc., it’s yet to die on me. But I’m pretty good at charging it after I feel like I’ve used it for 20 or 30 minutes worth but it’s not hard to plug it in. I’m still on my cord a Dremel that I bought 25 years ago with no issues but now I’m gonna go by the newest cordless one. I find myself going to them a lot more often than not having to get an extension cord or just plugging it in and wrapping up the cord. It seems so silly but it’s those little things that make you go to something faster because of convenience. Edit: sorry for typos, and how long is is? I used voice texting and it always ends up being a book lol.

I ordered this exact Dremel for renovating a rusty bike and for small jobs and crafts (for 58,39 euro you can't go wrong). It will fit nicely next to my bosch cordless handdrill (which is also small). Can't wait to test it out.

Too bad they don’t make the Dremel Stylus anymore. It was a pistol grip small cordless which had amazing control. Mine is over ten years old and still works fine and I've used it from everything to working on guns, installing door locks, and Arduino projects but it can’t last forever so this looks like the best replacement for it. Just make sure you let the battery cool down before you charge it and it should last.

So is there a way to safely change the blades? Usually if its cordered, you unplug it before you put on the blades, or if it is cordless, you can remove the battery. But it seems the battery is not removable. So it can accidentally come on while you are changing the blade wheel, right?

I want to engrave stainless steel using this machine (7760) but I was told that the bit that comes with it doesn’t work very well. They said I should get the “Tungsten Carbide Cutters“ or the Diamond cutter fro dermel. I just don’t know which to get and which one would fit the 7760. Any help?
@spicy110
@spicy110 4 года назад
As it has a chuck you can use a wide range if bits, I would get a dremel chuck for it and then just order bits that fit that chuck. If you really want to cut in to the stainless I would get a carbide cutter / die grinder bit. The diamond bits will just scratch and grind and won't remove much. You might even find both would be hand to have.

Can you use it on smaller pieces of glass, rock and concrete, or is the motor too weak?
@spicy110
@spicy110 Год назад
That depends on what you want to do to those things. You can use it on anything but the scale of the job could only answer that.
@xyz7572
@xyz7572 Год назад
@@spicy110 okay, yeah, my question was more like, if I try to use it on rock, is the motor so strong that I can do that without damaging the machine in some way, and if it doesn’t damage the machine, will it be able to make a dent in the rock or will it just slide around uselessly on the surface. But from what I gather from your response, it seems like it should be possible.

Greeting mr. Spicy110 & everybody. Could any of you please kindly explain this to me? After watching this cool video i read in an online article & also in Dremel's official site that this 7760 lite in particular is compatible with all the accessories/ attachment Dremel produces for its rotary series of product. Now, sometime ago i found in an online shop here in Indonesia just what i need, namely a set of Dremel drill bits in an assortment of sizes. In its info area it is stated that the smallest sized drill bit requires us to initially attach a "multi-chuck for 4486" chuck/collet to our rotary equipment to accomodate it. In the info area of that "multi-chuk for 4486" chuck/collet i found a list of all Dremel's rotary products it claimed to be compatible with... with the 7760 to be nowhere in sight. Would it be safe for me to consider the 7760 to be compatible with that particular chuck/collet as well? Thank you very much🙏🏻

Is it powerful enough to use cutting disks? I rarely have to cut but if i do its usually like a nail or stripped screw head.
@spicy110
@spicy110 3 года назад
The odd one yes it will but it takes a lot longer than a corded one as it hasn't got as much torque in comparison. But for the really hard to get to bolts it's amazing even if it takes a while.

@@spicy110 First of all thanks for the reply. I love Dremel, I have three models. The last one is a Dremel 4000 in a plastic case with lots of attachments. But! In Dremel 4000, the front bearing is very hot. It started right after purchase. And this is a massive problem. Dremel knows about it, but... they don't care. Therefore, when I decided to buy a battery-powered device, I looked towards other manufacturers. I chose Worx WX106 and have not regretted it for a second. This device runs on 8 volts, is very convenient to use, is more compact than Dremel, has a charging time half that of Dremel and it is Type C. After seeing your review, I ordered a second Worx WX106 for $56 including shipping. All nozzles from Dremel are suitable for Works (3.2 mm). I think that Dremel has turned into a clumsy big company that is very slow to respond to the situation in the market, and also poorly listens to user feedback.
@spicy110
@spicy110 2 года назад
To be clear I am not defending anything I don't care what you buy. I was just answering the question you asked, with relevance to the time this video was made. It seems your issue is aimed at Dremel, I am not them. In fact I do not work with them after they wanted me to sign a contract regarding reviews. All my reviews are honest from my own experience. That's all I can add.
