My siblings and I joke about how sexy our shoulders and knees are when the topic comes up 😂 Although in my school if there is a dress code roughly a fourth to a third of people ignore it
As a guy, I was too busy focusing on James cute new hair cut than I was at Kaity and her acne filled shoulders showing. Gosh how that boys hair distracted me..
@UCFOGv_s_QvRA0-0eqKl7z3w As if all the girls get assaulted. Cannot stop playing g the victim card eh? I hate people like you. Can't spend a day without cictimizing yourself. You are more likely to die in a car crash than be raped. Or even get shot and murdered than being raped.
@@gammaphoenix5893 have you actually been outside or pay attention anywhere. Let people dress how they want what’s it you. Also have you ever been to school cause the dress code for girls is mostly for them. Now stop being stupid and pay attention. And yes girls do get assaulted a lot just maybe not the people you know oh wait you probably don’t have any friends who are girls with comments like that. Girls aren’t playing the victim card but you are playing the stupid card.
Let me just say (as an American student) the teachers don’t do anything about what we wear, they just call out parents and they don’t even come. (We do have a dress code)
I had a concert at my school and I had this really pretty dress and I wore it and the teacher said “we have a dress code and can you please wear your jacket?” I was showing my shoulders when during an award ceremony, another student was showing her BACK! And I don’t the teachers said a word about it
I swear to Irene, one time a kid went to school in a tank top for more then one day and the teachers didn't do shiz, better yet! My brother got punched in the face and they did nothing. Yet I get sent to the office for a death threat... 😒 jk I didn't get sent to the office lol 😂
I live in Canada too and it depends on if you go to a catholic or public school, military brat so I've been to like a million schools. Catholic schools had half the girls in class wearing sweaters in plus 30
Mmm yeah no I also live in Canada and I’ve been Dress coded for absolutely ridiculous things and almost been sent home because of it, this was at multiple schools so you obviously just got lucky
@@kotlclvr13 out of the 4 elementary schools i went to it was strict in 3 of them, it was strict in the 1 middle school, and of the 3 high schools i went to only 1 was chill about dress code. (Canadian military brat, this is between Ontario, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia) maybe it was just the schools you went to that was chill, in my experience there's less of them.
@@amberbesharah1630 I mean, I went to small town, country schools so I think that kids dressing inappropriately wasn’t really much of a problem anyway lol
This is the first one of his videos that I’ve seen where both sides have been accurate. As a a girl going through the American public school system I applaud you
I went to school in Texas. If you wore a tank top, the straps had to be at least 2” wide. They also made us stand with our arms down at our sides and fingers stretched out. Your shorts or skirt had to go past your fingertips. Unless you were a cheerleader, of course. 😒
American school: Guy: is shirtless and is perfectly fine Girl: lifts up arms and shows .00009 percent of stomach and gets sent to the office for distracting the guys Edit: I get notifications from this comment all the time, it’s honestly impressive
Ah yes, the age old ‘Men can’t control themselves, so let’s punish the women.’ Now that being said, I actually support school dress codes as someone living in the UK where most if not all schools have a mandatory uniform
Yeah I've done shop classes and i find the teachers actually understand that it is way to hot in the classroom. Where as in a math class last year i got yelled at for dress code even though i made sure it was in regulation. Canadian Ontario
My high school from southern California had a lax dress code that was never enforced. You would see a lot of short shorts and bra straps during the summer. I got super horny and distracted during those hot days, but somehow, I manage to get good grades and was one of the top students in my classes.
One of my teachers just came up to me because I was raising my hand for a question and forgot that I had a crop top on. Keep in mind I'm bisexual and I am mostly into women so when my teacher came and said I was distracting the guys, I almost laughed when she told me that. I am happy I held in that laugh. My bff came and just started to laugh at me, like my bff does.
At my old schools they would take the extra mile to measure the girl's skirts to make sure they weren't "too short". So all the girls that were on the thicker side and had longer arms (like me) were dress coded ALL the time, while other girls could wear short shorts and long shirts that made it look like they came to school with no pants on. Hell, even the cheer leading uniforms violated the dress code but they didn't care unless you chose to dress like that. Now, my new school doesn't care what you wear unless you went to school in undergarments or nude.
I feel. Ive never been fat but i have a lot of fat in my butt and thighs im short too so its hard to find skirts to fit me same with jeans so i used to cover up my legs with a jacket so no one could tel my skirt or shorts was a centimeter or two too short literally thats it but if they knew the teachers would hint at you being a slut the next day
I went to catholic school when I was younger and one of the old teachers used to yell “3 inches above the knee!” Anything more than 3 inches was big trouble. As a dude I wear 5.5” inseam shorts once in awhile, what’s the big deal😂
I’m from Canada and our schools are chill with the dress code. You can wear anything you as long as it doesn’t have discrimination of any sort in the clothing or gang related stuff. Aside from that, you could wear a sports bra to school and everyone would be fine with it. But it’s also freezing most of the time there so-
I don’t live in Canada but I wear short skirts with tights and I’m a small and skinny girl with no curves but I saw someone wearing almost the same thing I wear everyday get dress coded and she just had curves and looked more developed, it’s annoying how they only pick on girls who are more developed because it’s rude to all women
I in America okay We can't go on gym floor without gym shoes but teachers can wear normal shoes and walk across gym and put chairs on it every day We can't wear flip flop but teachers can How Dat make since
@@From.RussiaWithLove no even 5 year olds have to abide, albeit their uniform isn’t just a suit, unlike secondary. But six form (basically college) you where your own clothes
Yea we boys also hate this. Like we don't give a fuck. We already too busy discussing our Warzone and Apex strats, and even if we weren't busy, we still wouldn't give a single fuck.
I was expecting to hate this, because I thought you were going to say American school are so easy with dress code. I really appreciate how you critique both.
My friend got dress coded for being able to see her bra color through her shirt. The teacher who dress coded her said it was pink, the bra was black y’all.
@@taylorj888 wait- MY SCHOOL ISNT STRICT I LIVE IN AMERICA- 😶 The only thing you can’t wear is a shirt that shows your belly button. Or a shirt with no sleeves you know cuz the shoulders thing.
Im from Trinidad, we were ruled by the british in the past so we took some school stuff from them but some stuff are different, however my school is rly prestigious and stuff, so when my sister was in my school she got in trouble for her socks being below her ankles
As an American, I can confirm that when someone broke the dress code the school went into lockdown and Terminator bots started walking down the hallways trying to find the criminal offender, as that was happening secret miniguns popped out the ceiling and shot anyone who left the classrooms. It was truly a horrific scene.
In my school, many girls wear spaghetti straps and some wear only bras and nothing else for a top. The school doesn't care at all, we have a few susy teachers and quite a few sussy boys and lesbians who are into the sussy revealing stuff.
Yeah my schools dean is always the one dress coding the girls…me and my friends always found him creepy and for good reason. He just is always looking for a reason to dress code a girl and it just comes off as creepy😭
I feel like the hypocrisy simply adds to the accuracy, no? At least in American schools, where we had female teachers with super low-cut tops and tanks. No shame, they can wear what they want; but I would get in a bunch of trouble for wearing something way more conservative than the teacher sending me to the office. Any objections pointing this out would be met with a “do as I say, not as I do” attitude. Either that or “I’m not a student, those rules are for you guys”. 😑
I have a teacher who actually does measure some of our ties. He does random hallway stops to catch us off guard and if it isn’t the proper length we cant have break/lunch.
@@sundermc true but it would have to be the same exact colours and pattern which is difficult to find bc you can’t really find purple and yellow striped fake ties LMAO
My school has button up ties for girls with the collar hiding the buttons. The boys have to tie their own 😂. The boys ties are always uneven and it is so funny that it has taken them such a long time to find out how the girl ties look the same all the time.
Honestly, when teachers get mad at girls for showing their shoulders and "distracting the boys" it's insulting to the every girl AND every guy in in that school Edit: just to be clear, it's obvious why it's insulting to the girls, but it's insulting to guys because the teachers are saying they're too lustful to have basic self control, much less do school work, and that's wrong and biased.
The fact that some of these places don't think guys can control themselves around women like have they heard of gays and arose/aces? Fr they have to be more worried about girls getting fruity with each other nowadays than actual guys being horny over shoulders 💀🤡💀🤡
One day a guy came to class with his pants hanging down at his ankles and the teacher said nothing. A little while later a girl walked in with a t-shirt and leggings and he yelled at her and gave her a violation. He greeted both of them.
A boy in my class normally has his pants sagging low enough for the class to see his underwear. This is a normal occurrence. A girl wore a crop top once and had to wear a sweater for the rest of the day.
Had a friend get coded on the first day for sagging. He had forgotten his belt. Once the administration realized he was in the white classes, it never happened again.
Yeah I hear many people complaining about the modesty level, but I actually like the modesty level (well, outside shoulders, those should be allowed) I just have an issue with the sexism. I don't think girls OR boys should be wearing stuff that shows their chest or upper thighs in school.
teacher: don’t wear any clothes that show ur shoulders, u will distract the boys if the boys are focusing more on my outfit than on ur teaching that says something
As a boy, we can control ourselves, the rules make as look like sex-hungry crazy people & make the dress code discriminate against girls, they're the real villian
Honestly I'm so glad that we don't have a dress code in German schools. My self esteem is definitely better when I can wear what I feel comfy in and show my new cool shirt or whatever.
“With our dress codes, we want our students to be comfortable and- OUAH..OAH” **Moments later** “WE’VE GOT A 19/19” “THATS RIGHT, SPAGHETTI STRAPS IN CLASS!” Best parts ever •^•
i must congratulate you in understanding the video, and then reciting it back to us even when we all watched it. this has truly uplifted me as a person.
32-year veteran teacher here. In a school I worked in, the spaghetti straps were a big issue, but then they let the kids wear pajamas to school. Spaghetti straps? NO! Pajamas? Meh, okay.
Oh I wish that was the case at my school! My school was the exact opposite of the rest of the comments section's. The dress code was never enforced and girls were encouraged to wear super revealing clothes (some even wore just a bra as a top). Either both boys and girls should be allowed super revealing stuff or both should have to be super modest. it's a bit sus that only the girls were allowed to wear revealing stuff.
@@keagaming9837 what?! I have a uniform so I don't really understand dress codes that much but like.... it's fine to give them the choice but forcing them to wear that is NOT okayyy
As a guy, no one at my school except for the weird kids (not the chill weird kids. The super weird kids that just yell inappropriate jokes all class and say skibidi toilet all the time) would even care. If a girl is wearing some clothing, I might notice it for a few seconds and I will completely forget about it by the time I get home at latest.
british schools: “unroll your skirt” “tuck in your shirt” “where’s your blazer?” “tie no shorter than 5 stripes” edit: thanks for the likes didn’t realise this would get so many also, what i’m saying is applicable to all schools, not specifically public or private
Am I the only one who found this guy one day and immediately loved him but had no idea where hes actually from because of how good his accents/impressions were?😂😂
As a British person, I adore non-school uniform day. Everyone just seems more chilled and relaxed and it's so nice to be able to wear what you want. The classrooms just have so much more colour in them compared to black and white uniform 🙁
It's a subtle reference to Monster's Inc! Remember when the white sock was brought in on a monster's back? It was a 23-19, because W is the 23rd letter of the alphabet, and S is 19th, or WS=White Sock! This is 19-19, for SS, Spaghetti Straps! Very cute extra detail :)
This is incredibly wrong, a British teacher wouldn't complain about a tie being 1/8 of an inch too short... ... We use the metric system because we're not incompetent.
This is so accurate 🤣🤣 I’m British too so we get criticised over our tie not being too big or skirt being slightly above the knee or if our top button is undone let me tell u the list goes onnnnnn
