Beach, guitar, sunset. Not a lot can that can go wrong with that combo, except for my archnemesis and lifelong foe, Wind. But, Poseidon or whoever's in charge of those operations these days worked with us long enough for one solid take, so I present to you, Dressed Up Nice.
What a lovely song, T! You're one of the best in the game, and you're getting better. Nice transitional styles and techniques, and simply pleasant on the ears. 🤘
"lifelong foe, Wind." Video people often use a shotgun microphone (highly directional, like a flashlight beam) combined with a 'dead cat' wind shield (horrible name, as I like cats😺.) If wind is a lifelong enemy, some wind resistant microphones might be worth it 😊
We are so similar .. you play right handed, I play right handed .. you have your own specific style, I have my own specific style .. you are an amazing guitar player and of course I play right handed .. it is always such a pleasure to listen to you and to watch just how easy you make it look .. a real treat!!
Toni, over the years, your skill was always on display. However over the last years your confidence and melodic expression has become what obviously rolls through your head and I'm glad to have a peek in inside
Can't find the words to talk about your job... I'm a professional musician, I hear constantly musicians recording in my studio, or when I work as I sound technician, or just playing live with me, and very occasionally, very very rarely, I stumble upon something that takes my breath away. That's you. Wow 🤯
Dressed up Nice is a stunner, I need to find me a beach and a tequila so I can replay it over and over again.... I reckon, if we could see Toni's mind, it would be the most beautiful paradise imaginable.
This was exactly what I needed, been feeling so stressed lately and this calmed me. Everything about this is so peaceful, tranquil, serene. Thank you Toni, I love your music
Thanks for sharing, Toni! I like that tune and your playing so much. Tuning down two whole steps is a wonderful idea (think I'll steal it some day). Cheers, Renee
Thank you for sharing this uplifting song and beautiful scenery. Watching this video really lifted my spirits on Thanksgiving day at a moment when I was feeling a little down and overthinking life. Your song brought a lasting smile to my face. Thank you for that.
Master of guitar in high places! Lovely piece Toni! (love that you are serenely playing guitar while the traffic busys by slowly on their way to someplace "important"...)
Here from listening to the "Come Back Home" cover on Elle Cordova's page for probably literally the 200th time, glad I decided to come check your solo stuff out too. This is great!
Great stuff as always Toni, although I have to say that the camera work on both this and on Reina's channel is always nicely done, just started noticing it lately.
Thanks Dominic! Recruited Reina to shoot this one after trying a few stationary tripod shots, and she nailed it in this tiny, tiny window we had while the wind had died down enough but the sun was still up. The joys of recording outdoors!
Really great Toni. So soothing and yet captivating. I could listen to you all day (whether just playing or accompanying yourself singing). Your technical skills are terrific, and your ability to wrap yourself in the music and give it the emotional treatment it deserves is really good. Thanks Toni!!!
This is gorgeous in every way. The sound quality (that little mic apparently works very well on acoustic guitar), the playing, the song, the setting are all really brilliant. I love this channel.
Thank you for sharing. I have been playing guitar for 44 years. I appreciate your subtle, tasteful playing and understanding of the neck. Please keep those solo pieces coming.
Your playing is, as always, superb! I have kept fingerpicking away for about 50years now and still keep learning but haven’t reached your level yet. I thank you. Keep picking!
Just came upon your videos. Enjoy listening very much and you are really talented. It has always been hard for me to play guitar because I have very small hands for an adult and short length fingers. The stretch to play many chords is difficult when you have small hands...so I gave up. Plus, now I am older, up in age, and don't have strength in my hands like when I was young.
Everything in this fantastic video is perfect. Thank you for sharing! And yes!: Gladly many more instrumentals by Luca and Tony! ! ! And between the creative strokes of genius, maybe also some more beautiful tutorials ? THANKS for all !
The run at 2:07 was amazing. Know you were concentrating but I hope you were smiling inside. I know I was and I'm sure most everyone else was. You dressed that one up really really nice!
Wow... Thats bloody awesome!! Shades of Martin Tallstrom ...isms in there. Just love it when an artist swings their own music .... Its just so much more intimate.
