I love Mike and Dan, but on another subject, how is a $125,000 stakes race a DRF Race of the day! Seems as though Thoroughbred racing has issues with a lack of quantity horses, and you never see any stakes races on weekdays except for the biggest meets. Most allowance races are at $100K or $125K, at least at the best tracks like Saratoga, Churchill, etc. Del-Mar seems to have lost some quality which is killing racing, actually all of S. Cal racing is suffering, but I don't know the answer, other than to cut back graded and listed stakes, and we probably need to allow these horses to use Lasix so they don't bleed, but I get the safety issues, but if HISA stays firm which they will, it will be the ultimate downfall of thoroughbred racing in the US and the entire world!
