@@Slimothy-James.honestly what the fuck does low key mean ? Does that mean he doesnt have good mic skills or he does? Or are they average. Im lowkey confused
Dricus has grown on me. He’s so composed and yet still knows how to talk some smack when he needs to. He’s got some champ material I’m not going to lie
different from who’s? a lot of ufc fighters have similar mind sets he’s said the same stuff countless other fighters have said he’s just more charismatic than most and obviously enjoys the spotlight.
Dricus is so good on the mic. Like he is so underrated, he talks nice, always calm, has good solid lines. But it’s like his character, he doesn’t fake it. He is my favourite fighter to listen to. And his fighting style is also amazing
well thats the thing, hes not playing a character, hes a fighter not an actor lol. the whole "im going to act like a douchebag to attracts views" is cringey. just fight and get paid boys. thats what ya job is
As a South African and fan of Dricus for many years it is amazing to see him on the biggest stage fighting for the title and taking every situation in his stride💪🇿🇦 Go Dricus
As a South African, what are the chances that Dricus didn't have a rough childhood? Meant like the area, from my understanding it's pretty rough even if your family is rich. Or am I full of shit.
Volk does a pretty good job of checking the gentleman’s box. How many gentlemen fighter does the UFC need to fill the character balance towards UFC’s marketing, fan appeal, and social expectations? All they need are fighters that fight well and a few crazy iconic brawls from time to time and they’ll continue to sell tickets and pay per views, not necessarily the persona fighters put off when the cameras are on them. Narcissists get people to believe they are such a good and trusting person in the beginning, so to hear people talk, doesn’t really draw me to the sport and promotions of UFC, good fights do. Following the fighters over time, give you a better perspective to the person on and off the camera, not a press conference where many fighters are trying to gain or provoke an emotional response from their opponents a week before the fight.
Such a highly intelligent interview No BS honest and what an answer to the question of what would becoming a world champion mean to you was ,,, goosebumps
@@bladewright5356did you not watch the video? He explains why he said it and it makes perfect sense. Bet youre the same person supporting sean while he insults dead people
Dricus taking out the trash this weekend, then that fake champ o'malley is the next trash to go. Then just maybe we might have a respectable middleweight & bantamweight champions because the current ones are fake place holders, especially o'malley.
thanks dude so much u made my day. I am going to do a fight prediction on this fight today. you are the man thanks for the message brother!!@@NorthVikingKing
Dricus is a champion with or without a belt. I love seeing mma athletes of this caliber representing themselves and the sport so well. Can't wait for the main event on Saturday! Good luck to both fighters!
It's so refreshing to see a guy in the fight game who's really secure with himself and doesn't have to act out like a child as a defense mechanism, just lets his actions speak for itself
A truly professional athlete......absolutely inspiring. All the best for you on Saturday Dricus, believe you can and will do it. A tue champion not only for yourself but also for your people and country......want hulle weet nie wat ons weet nie!!!
So professional he’s instigating cord fight and mocking childhood traumas so many face. You believe shape shifting chameleons because of something they say and don’t backup? You seem intelligent lmao
Oh shut your twaht, already jumping on the bandwagon “truly inspiring” 😂. The guy hasn’t done anything extraordinary, hasn’t even won a belt. Get off your knees, mate
I'm all in on Dricus, he has the attitude of a world champion and I hope for him and the country of South Africa that he bags the win, either way it's going to be a decent fight!
nahhhhhh this aint happening strickland spars every day and gets hit the least, i dont think u guys are giving strickland enough credit, he keeps getting bettter too.
dricus what I love about your jerneny is as Africa's we all standa by you 100% 🇿🇦 you have shown as much as the world shows they are not united due to race or what ever is going on in first world country's.. we are united standing by you just as the boka. ngiyabonga mfowethu uyakhuthaza
Obviously a smart man, his head is exactly where it should be, focused on the goal. Looking forward to this fight, hopefully strickland can keep his emotions in check so we can have a great fight.
Rooting for Strickland, but Du Plessis is spot on in his assessment of the trash talk, and his position of staying professional and not being bullied is pretty clear. Dude carries himself with mature confidence.
@@ImaBobbyMudda people opinions change and evolve plus conor early trash talking before habib was sort of funny. Then started to get malicious and lost interest
@@ImaBobbyMudda im definitely not speaking on everyone's behalf but when Conor started crossing a line and stopped being professional he lost my respect and interest.
Go Dricus! You are a top class athlete and a true example of what it means to be an ambassador to your sport ,your country and your supporters.Thank you for sticking to proper morals and values and not being ashamed of them.May God bless you with the realisation of your dreams.Vat hom vas kwagga!!!..Ons hier by die huis staan solied agter jou.
@@lokivatosafrican men are not insecure little mass shooter brats scared of their own shadows who take out their repressed feelings by walking into Walmart with an AK 😂
What a role model! Strong yet classy! We haven't had someone like this since GSP! Usman is right there, too, but unfortunately, he's lost the last three.
Developing tons of respect for this guy, wish I had paid more attention to him sooner. Big fan of Strickland but I’m not cool with the hypocrisy and double standards.
I’m a Nigerian, and a devoted Izzy fan, but truth be told, DDP is a real Gee, speaks the right things, coins his words well, mentally and physically strong, you can’t help but love the guy, and I hope he does this for himself, his family, South Africa and the whole of Africa at large now that the AFCON is even ongoing 🎉
I like dricus and can appreciate he understands sean isn't kidding about throwing away both of their lives. It's going to be a war. Neither man will quit short of their body failing them
I love Sean Strickland and how he beat Adesanya to be champion. I also am really starting to like DDP. This is one of the fights that whoever wins, I'll be happy.
The more you hear DDP, the more you realise he has that champ aura more than Sean and Izzy. Definitely those two can beat DDP in a fight but DDP and rob represents the respect and prestige of the sport in much better way
I doubt any of the build up matters for sean. Hes still gonna look nervous when he walks out like he always does. Hes still gonna walk dricus down and hes still gonna do "the man dance". Gonna be interesting to see how dricus is able to counter stricklands awkward style. Im hype for this
Reminding a child abuse victim of their trauma isn't professional. Blowing your coach isn't professional. Sean is gonna piece this dude up over five rounds to an easy decision win.
@@CypherDND U are such a 🤡 As for Dricus “reminding” Sean of his childhood abuse, NO he didn’t, he said the beating I’m going to give u in the Octagon is nothing compared to what yr Dad gave u, now that’s not reminding a person, that’s simply making a statement, Dricus was not joking about it, Dricus is going to F … Sean Up, Dricus made that statement to Sean when Sean made derogatory remarks just like U have now, blowing yr Coach isn’t professional, what’s wrong with U 🤡 But let’s discuss Sean, so it’s okay for Sean to cross the line, which he does All the time, speaking of mma fighters who died, 2 of them, making fun of Khalil Rowntree when he spoke of his mental health issues, of fighters wives & kid’s, the list goes on & on, so that’s okay for Sean, but Dricus fires back & Sean wants to play Victim & his Fanbase even more, lastly as for Sean piecing Dricus apart over 5rnds 🤦♂️🤣 that is definitely not happening, this fight is not going past the 3rd, either Sean gets KO’d within 2rnds or TKO/GNP in the 3rd, Listen to this Interview, Dricus is a very Pvt person, this is the first time he is even bringing up that Sean sent an apology to him, as he says he would not have spoken openly about it, But Sean has now, Sean sent an apology to Dricus apologising for saying thing’s, Wake Up u 🤡
Lmao "Sean said he's gonna stab you if you bring that up" omg Strickland is too f'n funny... This interview made me like Dricus he seems like a good pretty funny guy too... Always fun when you like both fighters and can just enjoy a good fight. Looking forward to this one.
This dude's moral compass is set pretty close to true north. It's very interesting to see these two skill sets clash. But it's also interesting to see the orderly good (Dricus) clash with the chaotic good (DeSean).
Okay I am warming up to Dricus Du Plessis, he really wants to fight fair and square, and wants to engage with his opponents as positively and purely as possible, I was disappointed as a black South African when he said he was "more African" than the 3 Kings. But now I am starting to look at him in a different light, wishing him all the best.
Hope Sean wins but this guy seems pretty humble and after watching some of his fights he stands a great chance. Sean will be devastated if he loses to him
