I’ve gotten about 4-5 trips this year with one fish, so much rain for our rivers this season. This weekend I think I’m gonna sneak away to a small coastal stream just like this one. I would encourage you guys to take better care of the wild fish. Wild fish have no business being drug up onto the bank. Carry a rubber coated net. These steelhead need all the help they can get to survive. Protect the resource. Cheers
It is something i definitely need to work on. Especially if I'm going to continue doing videos. I usually try to tail them but this one ran away from me and up the bank
Tell me what river you think this is? I am also tribal so i have different regs from state. I don't know the state rules too well, but as far as i know, bait is open even for state. My guess is you dont know what river i am on
@@fathersonoutdoors8049 I’m not going to say it’s name on RU-vid because I don’t want to blow the river up, but it’s in Washington state, on the Olympic peninsula, and if you read the coastal steelhead regulations that have been implemented for years now, selective gear rules (IE no bait and single barbless hooks) is mandated on all open rivers.
@jesserosenthal8831 ok. Well what tribe has rights to this river? I just double checked with my tribal officer and it is definitely open for bait. Only has triple hook restrictions 👍
