S.S.P. was a great track for drifting. In FM1 - FM4, the speed around infield the track seemed to be faster. Perhaps that was due to the FOV. But I do remember being able to go through the kink into the infield at full tilt.
Hey HD, great video. Update 13 looks very good. I am like yourself, my only experience with drifting is completing the drift challenges in FH5 and like yourself, I don’t think I will do much drifting in FM beyond challenges, if they are introduced. I have returned to FM multi player over the last few weeks and am really enjoying it. After my hiatus since June, I definitely have found the races to be cleaner, the ghosting to be a little better, and like the introduction of the radar. Penalties still need more work however overall the developers are moving this game in the right direction. I hope they are continuing to make improvements for the PC players. I am also spending more time in Rivals. I was completely unaware how much of a resource Rivals can be for a relatively newcomer like myself. I know you have recommended this aspect in many of your past videos, I guess I felt there was no substitute for racing a multitude of cars. Take Care😀👍
@@HDeeRacing I didn’t notice any difference to the penalties last evening because the MP races were very clean. One major difference with this update is the move from 6.0X to 4.0X tire wear. This is a very significant change that is going to get a polarizing range of opinions. Soft tires are now an option for the short races, which for me makes the race more fun. Car upgrades and tuning will be impacted.
Ive been waiting patiently for the inside rear view mirror although it's a shame they didn't go with a spotter too. I still race Project Cars 2 as well because i get withdrawal symptoms missing Crew Chief but Drifting and a American cars that handle like boats? Nah not for me.
Update 13 sure comes in swinging with A LOT to unpack! The drifting, like you, is what i'm not gonna bother with. It's a great sport to watch IRL if you understand how they score the drivers but it genuinly just isn't for me and i can definatly appreciate the skill and practice required to get good at it but it ain't for me. I'm happy with my first introduction Sunset Peninsula, though i'm not sure how well the reverse layout is for racing but the forward one seems tricky enough to set up a pass when someone hits a wall or misjudges a kerb! That's at least what i make out from one multiplayer race (though there is some concern with new changes to tire wear for medium length races). The new mustangs and multiplayer spec series are what i'm most excited about! Plenty of potential for some liveries now that i got some more inspiration for sunday's visit to Zolder for the final euro NASCAR races this year, plus the herd of cars added sure might help me find a new car for A class!
I just tried the game, AI is still not fixed. Literally all of the AI cars went on to the grass on the first corner. Forza Motorsport is dead to me unless they fix the AI
@@HDeeRacing it’s the worst it’s ever been, I don’t get how after so many years since 2005 it’s gotten worse instead of improving. Built from the ground up (if true) was their worst decision. It should have been called forza motosport 8 and they should have improved from previous games.
@@erratic222 I agree that the current AI is in its worse shape, with the exception of the 1st corner of any single player race. When FM was introduced, I was literally punted around every time in the 1st corner. At least they fixed that. My only comparison is FH5, and while those drivatars are also far from perfect, they are much better IMHO.
This is the opinion of someone that was never willing to give a game a chance no matter what. Just shows how cynical RU-vid grifters have made people nowadays.
Its actually getting worse. Ive tried it out after playing GT7 acouple pff months and i must say it looks trash and the handling is so poor compared to GT7. I just wish that we had more races than we have now on GT7. I want more to choose from and a weekly with PP restricted roadcars that you can build would be awsome.
@@alondite215 the objectivity is in the overall konsensus that FM is bad. The physics dont have the fidelity and depth that GT7. GT7 is upperior in every way exept the online selection in the weekly races. Why FM cant graphically outshine a PS5 game on my rigg with a 4070 is beond me. Its a buggy mess still after 12 months. Declining playerbase and with no community off serious racers. Who streams races on FM on YT now? They did the first two months after realizing it dont have the physics and the fidelity to take serious.
