That's the way to do a video. I've never understood why some of these RU-vid cats have to show every damn screw and saw cut. Thank you.

What a great idea, I think this is the best I have ever seen. Total is.

Like the way you have attached the system to the drill press. I have basically the same system but it's not attached to my drill, it's just hanging free. Like your way better. Thanks for posting and it does get 99.9% of the dust. It's the best way and easiest way to collect the dust from the drill press.

Wow. Excellent concept and execution. Does the shroud need to make direct contact with the workpiece for effective collection?

It doesn't, but I think it works better when it is !

Such a great idea! I currently have a flexible hose and it does "okay" but can miss alot. Gotta make me one of these. Thank you so much for making the video and posting. Side question, what is your fence? You put it together, or is it a set?

Sorry I took so long to see this. I got the track and flip stops for my fence from Woodpeckers and the clamps from Rockler. I made the clamp holders from some stock aluminum pieces I had laying around.

I understand all the parts except for one. What are the thin metal strips, that are in front and back of the blocks, that hold the device on the DP? What do these silver pieces of metal do? Are they functional or just for cosmetic's sake? By the way, you make some mighty fine pieces of woodwork. I like this. Thanks

pat dee Those thin metal strips were only cosmetic to cover some miscuts I made!

That's a coupling and not a union. Unions have threads and separate into two pieces.
