This plate will soon be forge welded to the railroad track bridge anvil, but first a hardy hole needs to be drilled and shaped to match! Enjoy!

You need a Dremel, they are great with small tedious work. I was a jeweler, it was my best friend and surprisingly, I still use it a lot in finishing and filing.

Harden it in liquid nitrogen and film it for us. Ha ha ha. Hey, good luck on the forge welding. that 91.2 lb anvil is going to be fun to move around when it is 2400 degrees. I sure hope the lead tank doesn't puke out it's load.

@@LukeMixter It is a Grizzly! Good to know because I've been conflicted on which to purchase, this helps. I've been a jewelry smith and I painted acrylics but I became quite bored. My creative side was telling me to create things that serve a purpose, a useful purpose. Blacksmithing has caught my interest, it serves a endless sea of purpose and artistry at the same time. I really appreciate you walking me through the railroad anvil on how to improve it without spending a bunch of money. My problem is, I can't locate any railroad track. I've walked along our only railroad through town and beyond and I can't find any. Your idea of filling the inside with lead is a really good idea. Hopefully I will find a decent railroad track so I can begin. Thank you Luke.
