@@BooInRRit's because sensation is just the limb that is being touched sending signals to your brain. but in VR, your brain is seeing things that are purely virtual, so your brain thinks that, let's say your hand, is being touched. the brain sees that and thinks that it should be getting signals from the nerve endings in your hand, while it's completely virtual. then, your brain thinks "this isnt right" and tells the limb to send signals. that's phantom sense. lmk if i got anything wrong btw :p
