There was a case here in Costa Rica, Aeromexico to be precise, where one of the flight attendants had to get the authorities involved because when she stepped in the cabin, before the flight, it literally stank of booze. Turns out both the captain and the FO were still hammered from their prior night's adventures. They got other pilots and these guys were taken as passengers and fired when they arrived back home.

There was this one flight where the entire crew of an Air Baltic I think Q400 on a flight from Riga to Some Scandinavian Airport were fully intoxicated. They successfully completed the flight but they did all get fired afterwards 👀

Just for the record, I've done simming while drunk, stoned and on both at once and have still managed to complete a flight several times before. Haven't done it on vatsim and don't plan on it but I have flown while wasted.

Same, and I think the lack of consequences allows one to be more relaxed than they would be if they were doing anything real while under the influence. Though I will sometimes forget stuff like turning off landing lights when stoned lol
