C`mon, what work would he have to do there?! If he was a spy, he would have kept quiet about being able to speak English. He just knows how to freak out his paranoid mate.
@@scleare2999 You better pay respect. You don't even know who the hell they even are. Judging people like that does not make you one of the better human beings. Those guys had the decency to invite a complete stranger over, had some drinks and played music. What about you? Would you? Better get off your keyboard and actually go to these countries, you will learn a thing or two about the world, rather than some government propaganda horse shit.
I don't know if they handout awards for great RU-vid videos but if they do I nominate this video for best docudrama. Victor, Vodka and his cool mellow buddy that kept a huge secret from him, the cool violin/guitar playing, Victor's internal conflict about WW2 and the past and his shocking day by meeting a British guy who was obviously insane for going to Belarus for Holiday but turned out to be an American spy. This video had it all.
That tall guy speaks at least 3 languages (one of which nobody around him speaks) plays the violin, plays guitar... No wonder that other guy is suddenly paranoid. he just discovered Lurch is a genius. Maybe him speaking English sparked the original mistrust that he could be some kind of agent.
I wonder what was Roberts’ story : Chechen living with a cop in fear of nobody knows what , speaks english and didn’t tell anyone , forgot italian , played some fluent Vivaldi on violin after few shots of vodka , has scars on his head .... what are the backstories ?
@@inavag3038 this, on top of that hes tall, intelligent and scars indicate he knows how to fight. what else could you want in a man that only needs to survive.
I had a friend much like Viktor. I had to stop speaking to him because he would get drunk and start blaming others for the woes of mother Russia. Constantly drunk and depressed. Seems like a nice guy and hospitable but depressed for sure.
@@NEATERTICK very true it’s also ironic that the Irish like to forget that for hundreds of years they raided the Welsh and English coastline taking people as slaves
This content is so incredibly real in a sea of bullshit reaction channels, make up drama and money-printing and exploitative kids content. I love it deeply.
@No Bad BAby I worded that terribly my bad. I meant the kids content is in itself functioning as a means to just make crazy amounts of money with little effort and soul
I must disagree to some extent. Don't judge prematurely and stereotype people/work. We make kids videos with our daughter firstly because we want to spend some quality time with her and have some cool memories. She is very happy doing this and we don't force her to anything(she is forcing us and can't wait to create more videos and she is learning quite a bit in the process. Furthermore we want other kids to have some quality content to watch in our language, same as you and me here, only you need to understand that kids want content which they can relate to, not what you and me like/want. For every video we invest minimum of 3 days(preparing/scripting, shooting editing, etc..) , but mostly even more. We really put our hart and soul into it. And for someone to just like that say it is no effort and soul, it is very hurtful to us. Having said all that, we don't monetize our videos. Take care and be wise choosing your words next time.
@@nina-toysfun7978 Did you miss the part where my comment was directed at EXPLOITATIVE kids channels? If you spent an extra second or two to read and think you could have skipped the novel and the apparent heartbreak and just have moved on with your day.
Things i learned in this video: 1. World War II was Bald's fault 2. The capitol of England is New York 3. The best way to end an argument is to whip out a violin
@@user-fv8uz7tp7k of course not, you are only a kid that was encourage to learn those things, he is old and fought a war, why would i like to hear some 15 years old kid has to say?
Do you know anything about Belarus? Have you Any idea what they are talking about? No. So, you end up on the level of ´śketchy slavs´- now open the history books and read, dont watch youtube!!! Educate your self!
Robert is the most interesting person out there. Knows english and italian, plays violin and guitar. It's clear that he's a well educated person. But you can never guess it from his looks. And he lives in so miserable apart, hanging around with a dude who can't even name a capital of GB from a first try... I guess he saw a lot in his life. And life wasn't very kind to him..
@@KM-wf9yx nah, it's pretty unlikely. His violin skill means he graduated from a conservatory in USSR. Person studying in a conservatory commits almost all his time to music practice. You just can't study in a conservatory and training as a spy at the same time. I bet he received a good education in a conservatory. He became a professional musician, worked as a teacher. But then USSR fallen apart. And then there was a war in Chechnya, there was gangs and terrorist everywhere. Robert probably lost his home or/and family and was forced to flee and roam. Maybe lived like a hobo. And then he settled in Belarus.
Actually i am doubt he speak english well. He just was good in comparing to Victor (policemen to be honest usually are people with not impressive knowledge). Being educated man he just remember much more from school and maybe university programm of English. And he learnt italian because it is common musician language with many classic operas. Actually i think Italian is the best language for singing
It’s crazy how something over 80 years ago, still causes so much heartbreak and trauma still today. WW2 was a conflict that none of us today could even imagine going through. Rest In Peace to all those lost in that tragic war.
@@sashkazayebashka yes you are right. Individuality is definately lost (socially anxious people also use alcohol as a mechanism to provide them confidence to socialize better). But there have been specific psychological studies that particularly link alcoholism with aggression. Which is why there's that stereotype of the "angry drunk". There may be directionality concerns as with any correlation though.
😂 😂 😂. Yeah. I was noticing that dog from the streets. At first I thought it's stray. Suddenly I see it in the room leaving instantly hearing the song. 😂 😂 😂
Did you notice the dog didn't want to go near the liquor store too? He stayed at the corner for awhile looking like he knew it wasn't a good place to go while they kept going. 2:01
You should have asked some questions to Robert. He seems like a very interesting person. A Chechen war veteran who drinks and plays violin masterfully...
Despite the seemingly friendly atmosphere, the air smelled of pepper and it's good that the booze didn't end in a knife fight. According to statistics, drunk killings on the basis of domestic conflict in Russia and Belarus are quite frequent. It is always better to drink in an apartment only with people whose adequacy and psychological health you are sure of. For a drink with an unfamiliar person on the first day of the acquaintance, it is better to choose a bar or other public place.
I WOULD'VE liked to hear Robert speak more .. English or not. I got vibe he had interesting story to share but unfortunately Victor's intoxication took over the conversation.
He seems very quiet here, which usually means that the person doesn't want to get personal on camera. A lot of quiet people also spend their time with louder people. But this is just me speculating, who knows.
Viktor is from my home town, he was known to go around bashing criminals over the head with their own bottles of alcohol. He had a giant record of arrests and a lot of criminals were afraid of him He was eventually brought up with some high rank and was fired and became a security guard.
@@MotoDaniels Ha ha I'm not the tiniest bit surprised. Bald is lucky to have walked away completely unharmed because this guy is classic psycho waiting to snap for the least reason. Charm wins!
First Viktor cried, then he argues, he's sorry, then he hates you, then he is a friend again , finally you're a spy. What a guy haha You should definitely do "drinking with Russians" series.
Bald should have army rolled out the door and belly crawled down the stairs screaming out loud for the attack to begin. Victor would have bailed out the window I fear.
@Megabutor yes, they speak the same language. Yes, Viktor behaves as a typical Russian alkash. But all of that is just because the ages of stupid Russian imperialism, prohibition of native language and culture. The situation is so bad that if you speak Belarussian in Belarus, people consider you as a nazi (where's the logic?). As a Ukrainian, I'm proud, that we finally got rid of Russians influence and can protect our culture and language. And I'm waiting for the moment when our Belarussian brother will do the same.
And make no mistake mate, Viktors will take you places that you'd NEVER access on any bullshit tourist maps or word of mouth. In the Czech Republic we're talking, and this is coming from an American in Eastern Europe, and a camping trip guy/sucker for out of the way places guy, your holidays in places like this are a waste of time and money without a Viktor, or in my case, an Antonín. I've been rolling with him, the disgraced nephew of Jiri Paroubek, our exalted former PM, for fifteen years and as long as you pay for everything, we're talking access to Kalashnikov rifles and pubs hidden in old Soviet missile bunkers accompanied by guitars. You know what I'm talking about m8.
@Golden Knight now you went too far! There are many ways how you can try to offend Czech Republic and get away with it. But its beer?! Brace yourself for storm coming, after Czechs read it ! ;)
This is the kind of "tourism" I want. I want to meet real people, in their natural element. Not someone hired to drag me around the nice parts of the city.
Mr Freeman бля, ты за кого людей держишь? Повсюду одни наркоторговцы и уголовников среди вас. Прекрати клоунаду... это же очевидно и ты это знаешь, но продолжаешь лапшу на уши вешать.
Oh God, as a Belarusian I feel so much depression looking at such guys, the Vic is the product of intermixed reality of USSR slowed-down development plus Belarusian poverty in small towns and villages.
Imagine living in the apartment above these guys, one minute you'd hear arguing about WW2 and the next two guys shredding the violin and guitar while singing Belarusian folk music
Imagine bringing a Russian guy to your best friend’s house who you have known all of your life and all of the sudden they start a conversation in Russian. I think you would be in shock to. 😂
It's not really the same though, is it? English language knowledge is much more ubiquitous. A guy knowing English isn't as much of a stretch as a guy knowing Russian, in a non-slavic country. I met people in the middle of nowhere in Thailand speaking English and I wasn't that surprised. Had they spoken Russian, I would have been floored.
Your content is incredible. Totally unique and you’ve got a great way with people. A lot of other people would find these situations intimidating or react and things would turn nasty. But you always keep it light hearted and jovial. Bravo my friend 👍🏼👍🏼
I had similar experiences in northern England meeting random people around town, hitting some pubs then going back to their homes and getting obliterated with their friends or family. Got blacked in Lithuania too with 2 old guys i met at some sketchy bar as I was the first American they met traveling around randomly exploring countries alone to meet people. I’ll never forget some of those places.
Lul. I felt like it was begining of some Tarantino or Ritchie movies. These characters Viktor, Chechen, Englishman and that little dog that followed them on the way with a such great plot.
What a CLASSIC episode from Bald! Makes you feel like you're there with him and put's you a little on edge at times. Hat's off to the "up for anything with the locals" attitude he has! :)
