Drinks prices at Africa Oye have been revealed ahead of the festival this weekend.
The Liverpool festival is the UK’s largest free celebration of African music and culture and takes place this year on Saturday, June 22 and Sunday, June 23. Beginning in 1992 as a series of small gigs in the city centre, the event has gone from strength to strength, moving to its present Sefton Park home in 2002 to cope with demand.
This year's headliners include Les Amazones d'Afrique on Saturday and Julian Marley, fresh from his Grammy win for Best Reggae Album, on Sunday. But Africa Oyé is about more than music, and there will also be more than 90 stalls selling food, drink, arts and crafts and fashion.
