@@AmeenkChanelyes this is like using a hose to empty the water from your aquarium, and after that capillary action takes over with the fabric and keeps the water dripping, the science looks acceptable.

Actually it depends on the size of the bottle. A liter bottle would probably last 8 hours but will wet it enough for several days. A gallon jug would last 24 hours, probably, of constant water.
Didnt work, tried it today. Didnt know what the red material is, so I used a cotton cord string, but the end of the string stopped dripping after a while and dried out.
