In this tutorial, I demonstrate how to create a super tall rainbow watercolour dripping cake. Oh yes, yet another drip cake- but don't be fooled! This one is definitely unique in itself. I refuse to drop the drips lol I love them!

In these video tutorials, I normally use Bakels Premixes to save on time and costs.
(Bakels is a bakery grade cake premix. Another great one is Allied Mills)

I use these butter based cakes above because they are sturdy under fondant and stable at room temperature, as are the muds.

900 grams to 1kg icing sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Sorry guys for the late upload! It has been a mega chaotic week and a half, and not in a good way unfortunately. There has been a sudden death in the family which has been hard on everyone involved, we are getting through it but it's taking a little time and energy. I am doing my best not to let it affect my work too much, so hopefully the future videos are going to be on time and without issues. Alas, this is life. Just grateful to be here, to be healthy and have amazing people in my life.

Beautiful work as always. I am so sorry about your family's loss. It's not easy to get through but we do and sometimes it can affect your work in a good way. When my father died suddenly I was 25 and was a mess after ... not knowing what to do, relying on substances to get through... I signed up for a cake decorating class and 20 years later I am still loving it and creating. Much love to you

It is such a beautiful cake ..cotton candy is a totally new idea and a fun one . When u say buttercream , is it American buttercream or swiss meringue ? And do the colors dry after a while ?

Hey! You said you were using vodka? Is that what you meant in the other videos when you said alcohol? Wow, glad I caught this. I was getting ready to use rubbing alcohol; how weird I am sometimes.

How did you manage to make your buttercream so white?! I've always used your american buttercream recipe for all my cakes @jerabakes_syd but it always turns out slightly more yellow. Would you recommend adding titanium dioxide?

Did you find that the colour didn’t just soak into the buttercream?? I’ve seen other tutorials and they say it doesn’t work very well with buttercream and to use fondant. I’m making my sister’s wedding cake and they wants a watercolour drip.

Hello Rosie, Is the outside Italian butter cream (meringue butter cream)? Have you mixed the colors with butter cream or Italian butter cream? Can I mix the drip without alcohol with water only? Unfortunately, I can not translate English, translate it from google :(

food colour in liquid form might actually do the trick. I haven't tried it this way, but it makes sense that it would work :) definitely give it a go. Maybe a test run on a pot or something haha. Sorry I couldn't give you a clearer answer!
