Thanks I hate the wait on epoxy. Nice n Thick works great but I hate to spend the money. I don't make videos nor do I sell. Not that I would not want to sell but have just not put myself out there... thanks hugs Sheryl 💙🎨💙

Does the cornstarch change the color of the resin-like does it get more opaque etc? Does all that cornstarch alter hardening of resin? I saw reviews on amazon that you do need a lot of Nice N' Thick powder to thicken the resin and you only get a small amount in the container. Cornstarch seems like a more cost effective methods as long as the color of the resin is not too altered. Which do you prefer?

@DINAHSMILEYDNS

Thank you. Some don't but I do. Especially if I use glitter in or on the drip for it to be really smooth.

Hi! I am an artist, and I was wondering if this method of adding cornstarch would work to thicken polycrylic to make intentional drips. You seem to know a lot! Do you think it would work and not change the clarity of the Polycrylic? Thanks!

@DINAHSMILEYDNS
@DINAHSMILEYDNS 3 года назад
Yes I have. Just reminder that acrylic paint changes the consistency of the epoxy.

I love the video question how many drip cups have you done with cornstarch I curious if the drips crack or damage while curing or after it has harden
@DINAHSMILEYDNS
@DINAHSMILEYDNS 3 года назад
Thank you. Maybe 5. They have not cracked. I do a final layer of epoxy over the entire cup, including the drips.

Do you sand the drip after adding to glitter or do you press it in softly
@DINAHSMILEYDNS
@DINAHSMILEYDNS 3 года назад
Hi. So kind of do both. I tap the glitter so it lays flat, epoxy the entire cup once or twice (depending on how well the epoxy covers), paying attention to covers the drips, sand if needed and epoxy one last time.

quick question I use mod dodge and corn starch it has never done this to me before, but I applied my epoxy last night over everything and I woke up this morning to take pictures but my drip are kind of soft even with epoxy over it remind u just 1 layer of epoxy. Should I add two more layers of epoxy will that help or is it trash?
@DINAHSMILEYDNS
@DINAHSMILEYDNS 2 года назад
I do not know. That has not happened to me. I do know that if epoxy has not cured, adding another layer will not fix it because the layer underneath will remain uncured.
@r.lynnkeen2293
@r.lynnkeen2293 2 года назад
so it has been a year since you did this video. How has it held up? All I have read and seen you only add a certain ratio of anything to epoxy or it does not cure properly! I know you added way more, lol. very curious as to how it has held up.
@DINAHSMILEYDNS
@DINAHSMILEYDNS 2 года назад
I actually still have the bigger tumbler because I never applied a decal on it after this tutorial. It has held up very well. The color on the drips is still bright pink and the epoxy is still firm. There has not been any molding or anything.
