I miss that drive... I miss being physically able to travel any where... Tennessee was one of our most favorite we went to Dollywood almost every fall. But them days are long gone at least for now. One day God will work a miracle and I'll be well again. And I know the first trip will be down to Dollywood... Thank you kiids for sharing these videos they mean so much to me and other shut-ins.... Be blessed in Jesus name... BBE...
I love this video. Boy what a great way to just exhale and get your mind clear. Just go and enjoy what God has given to us the beauty and surenty of the Smokey Mountains.
Its funny, my whole life (almost 60 years) has mostly been Cherokee to Gatlinburg. We always stayed in Cherokee & drove for a day to Gatlinburg. I was older before we started going to PF. We always counted on an hour minimum drive one way (minimal stops) on a good day. Different perspective.
Thanks for another Yellow Jeep Tour. We’ll be on our way down this time next week. It’s been way too long. Your vlogs have helped get us through the past year.
Dawn was thinking about the flint-stones lol She is the sweetest… I love her and her sense of humor. We love watching all the adventures y’all do and glad we can also see all the places… we love the Smokies! 😊
Thank u both for the video and commentary I really needed to know how scary of a drive it was b4 i drove there with my older motorhome don't think I will try it now.
My husband just asked me if I was going to sit here and watch y’all drive across, and I said absolutely! It might be the only time I can go through the Smokey’s without overheating (which seems to happen every trip we make to the SM). Thanks for taking us along!
You're correct, Will...that was the trailhead for the Kephart Prong Trail at 49:05. I've picked up my husband and hiking friends from there. We walked up a short ways the other day when we were there, May 25th, to the remnants of the old CCC camp. You guys hit the construction traffic just right. We sat in the same spot for 30 minutes that day...the traffic didn't move from either direction the whole time. Wish we were back up there this week...it always goes by too fast!
Perfect drive, Dawn! Perfect length for my treadmill trip today. This is a drive I don’t do too often because my car likes to overheat on the hills. I saw my first wild turkey in the bypass years ago.
Hello, watching this video brings backs good memories of our vacations down there. We always make that drive to Cherokee NC. Thanks for sharing this, made my Tuesday. Did you guys go to lunch there? William
Beautiful drive. Everyone whom is not use to driving in the mountains really need to pay attention to the road arrows because it is really winey and can caught you not paying attention.
is there another way to Cherokee? can you go down I-40 further and cut back to Cherokee? or south somehow? i guess my question is there a way besides going over the mountain?
Dawn thanks for the ride to cherokee guess I'll get out here and hang with the Indians 😂😂👍 like how you tell what's coming up next as you drive because I'm like o yeah so that's where that is! 😊👍 I have absolutely NO sense of direction born that way🤣
@whataboutdawn we made it pretty good yesterday, ears popped few times and saw two black bears , but it was a overall good drive in my little fusion, it did better then I thought it would, but I could tell I was pushing it
