This is PART 2 of a 2-Part series on this unit.
In Part 1, we look a look at this Classic unit hearing that it had power hooked up but no life! We were able to get the power issue fixed, and found the AM and FM Stereo worked pretty well. But alas - no 8 Track joy.
And that means no QUAD joy! Can we fix the 8 Track part of this radio and get back to the 70s?
This car radio/tape player is from the late 1970s. Let's see if we can get this classic playing again. Will it even work? If we can it will find a home in a 1981 Mustang.
See the checklist which appears when status changes, for tracking what is discovered that needs addressing in Red, followed by Green when resolved.
NOTE: Fixing things is a hobby for me; this is not instruction, it is for entertainment for people like me who enjoy watching projects unfold and the experiences gained. If you attempt to do some of the things in this video you are at your own risk. I am using special tech-bench safety and current limiting equipment not detailed here so don't take for granted you can just plug these old items in safely without them being checked and repaired correctly. Check out the link below to Mr Carlson's Lab video below.

Thanks to shango066 for championing the approach of "fix it first", before mass re-capping. See shango066 for many examples of that approach.
