The older fellow in the green Hilux has my vote, it would be the oldest car there. Looking forward if it is still moving forward at the end of 24 hours

Awesome footage guys. That green hilux with the older bloke driving and the unusual lea spring setup? What was it? I couldn't understand the guy properly. Wanna do some research on that setup

The rear suspension I use is a 44 inch main leaf which I had custom made the rest are leaf pack from N70 Hilux with all the load helper remove. The front spring mount has been moved forward to keep the diff location I’m about standard wheel base. The rear drop out shackles are work in progress, the drop out allows the whole shackle to move away from the chassis by sometimes 300 mm this give the rear wheels over a meter of travel while keeping the rear leaf spring configuration. Limiter straps & 14 inch fox shock controls the driff from beyond control. The double eyed connecting rod allows the shackles to follow the springs in an arch while flexing & also helps prevents the springs from twisting while flexing. I seen the design being use at other events many years ago. With this design, I surprise many three Link and four link competitors on flex ramps. I do have a little trouble getting to all park back in its designated location at times.
