We rented an automatic car (Chevrolet) in Baku, Azerbaijan and drove to Gabala/Qabala, enjoying the countrysides, the Shamakhi mosque and indulging in Qutab, a traditional Azerbaijani street food. Renting the car was easy, with just our Indian Driving License, passport and cash payment of 80 Euros for 3 days. The security deposit was 140-150 Euros and they also checked our American Express Credit Card.
The road was overall good, with some construction going on leading to dust and mud all the way. Quite a bit of the roads were foggy and the drive was thrilling.
