The beluga looks great! The only thing that i dont like is all those windows.. A sturdy glass sub... that dont add up. I rather have smaller and more numerous windows ..
Finally a submarine in Subnautica, that is better then the original, and also isn't so jank. I love the upstairs bedroom with a view, that is excellent, as well as the bottom section, that could serve as the mess-hall with a view. And just the fact it can take 2-vehicles at the same time, is awesome. Overall, finally a great upgrade from the Cyclops.
One issue with the sub is that you cannot sleep in a bed placed in the observation deck, doing so WILL cause collision issues and send you flying around the interior of the submarine, killing you almost instantly.
Not sure what mod you mean. I did not have any mods installed that randomly change recipes. The recipe shown in the video is the one the mod used when I tested it.
I'd recommend that people 'hold off' on this mod. It's super buggy with almost SEVEN PAGES of bug reports and the modders are MIA with no update in nearly 3 weeks to fix said bugs.
Aolso Beluga is not called atlas as the modders were not able to get in touch with the person that called beluga an atlas in first place. Couse Beluga is the acual orginall name, and it was only called atlas by a person that did the first model with the peeper and the name just stuck i beleave
This is a mod so it is unlikely to be added to the actual game by the devs. Though depending on how they design the map in S3, there may be a valid use for a larger sub design like this one.
If there are any mod conflicts then it could cause issues if you load the world and then save. Otherwise the only issues will be if you load the beluga mod, build the sub, save your game, and then remove the sub. May cause issues in the game save if you have things built inside the sub and then remove the mod.
As seriously awesome as this thing looks, I'll give it a solid wait. As it really seems like they released it in an early-access state...wasn't even put across that way in the mod description, either, strangely. Too many mod incompatibilities, and too many bugs. Not even to mention things like the hilariously broken recipe to craft it, with materials gotten so deep with it to a point where you won't even NEED the thing at all by that point. That, along with not being able to change its speed and mess with its extra console settings at the wheel like you can the Cyclops, just a bit disappointing
Beluga is not ment to be piloted solo in first place, this is why it does not have the cyclops like hud Aolso its the second big sub and uses vechicle framework, you gotta have some bugs and incompatibilities are bound to happen
Aolso the bugs are not that serious, in the acual like beta (pre-release) the beluga used to go outside of the water and point straight up, one time it got far off into the void
Hear hear! This is a Bob and Blizzard mod so it's buggy AF. And here it is going on 3 weeks since their last update and these guys are MIA, with nearly 7 pages of bug reports - SEVEN PAGES! This mod clearly wasn't ready to be released as it is still in a pre-beta state. Your recommendation as a 'solid wait' is well deserved. And I see we already have whiteknights here to defend these two hack-modders. Not that serious?!?!? You go to sleep in the Beluga and die - yeah THAT'S serious! You dock your Seamoth/Prawn and it takes damage in the bay, then explodes? - yeah, THAT'S serious too!
