Ron Capps broke out a special tribute scheme for the U.S. Nationals, honoring the one and only Don “the Snake” Prudhomme’s Hot Wheels car. With the iconic wrap on the car and the legend himself in your corner, you want to do well. No pressure, right?

That was a great video! The tribute car really made this US Nationals a race to remember. Such a great tribute to the legend Don Prudhomme. It was touching to see how much all of this meant to Prudhomme, Capps, and all of the fans. 😊

I started watching Don Prudhomme in 1965 at the Half Moon Bay drag strip in California! And later Fremont drag strip.

This is great! However, this is not the paint scheme that Don had when he won Indy in 73. It was the yellow Carefree car. The paint scheme on this car is from Don's 1st funny car from 1970. Don't know how the NHRA stats team missed this one. In any case Congrats to Ron and Snake.

That car Ron ran at Indy needs to be done in Die Cast. I have some NHRA Die Cast cars. All Courtney Force or John Force but I would definitely buy that Ron Capps car. Great tribute to one of the best ever.
