Driven: Doug Kalitta's quest for a championship 

It's hard to think of a more deserving driver than Doug. Like Capps before he won his first - I think it's when rather than if. Hope it's this year for the team, he's got the right people and the right attitude. Proper class act is Doug, wish you well man. Thanks NHRA

Congrats Doug & the whole Kalitta family. Its been a long time coming

If Capps can finally win a championship after coming up short all the times he did before winning his first, Kalitta can too. He is one of the best to drive a Top Fuel dragster and throughout my life to this day, I've watched Doug come close but never seal the deal at the end of many seasons no matter how dominant he was. I still remember 2006 as a Tony Schumacher fan when he defeated all odds put against him in Doug's favor when Tony defied all of them and won the 2006 championship with ''The Run'' of 4.428 and while I was celebrating Tony's historic run and win, that look of dejection on Doug's face when the camera's cut to him at the far end is something I will never forget. Can you imagine if Kalitta FINALLY wins his first championship this year?

I was in St. Louis last weekend. It was HOT! Bummed that he hazed the tires. I really hope this is Doug's year. Nobody has worked harder.
