When I was a boy, back in the 1960s, my father's friend had a 3 wheel BMW Isetta, which he bought from new. He never topped up the oil. If it needed topping up he would do a complete oil change. He ran it for many years, and would happily do 200 mile journeys in it. I rode some local journeys in it as a passenger. Great little cars. I currently run a classic BMW. A 1988 K75 motorcycle. It rides really well, and a bit faster than the Isetta. (75 horse power).

Is that a cigarette lighter in the steering column that you are worried about a key going in? My business partner was just telling me tonight that he had a parasitic battery loss on his Infiniti and while watching an unrelated video about a GM truck he was researching that had a parasitic battery loss. The buyer, of the GM truck, who knew better found a coin lodged in the....I guess we call them 12v power points now. So my business partner went out to his beloved Infiniti (2007) looked around for all the power points, USB, and specially the 12v power points. He found a small door deep down at the bottom of the center column when he opened it it had 12v power point covered by a plastic cap, a USB port, and a universal audio input opening. Just for fun he pulled the plastic cap off the 12v power point and found a dime stuck deep down n the socket. It took him some time and smarts to dig that coin out. Thanks for a great video!

The owner of that Isetta has to remember that it is over half a century old and no longer up to constant use.

He is determined to drive it daily like a normal car. Kinda crazy.

@@2stroketurbo I drove Crosleys daily in the 1960's. You can't do that now as traffic is just to fast and hurried. Crosley's were not made for that kind of driving. The Isetta was not made for today's traffic either.

Perhaps you could talk him into a small catch can for the breather tube. I put one on my 1969 Jeep CJ and it was amazing the stuff it caught.

I really want to use touch up paint on the edges of the engine side cover. Before it spreads to the visible area.

Red Loctite might help in the hot areas but you could also use split lock nuts for belt and braces protection. Keep the Nylocs for cool and non vibration fasteners. I hope the owner has the engine cover and will be fitting it. She looks undressed without it. Sounding very smooth for a single cylinder engine.
