Thanks for explaining this! I live near a highway and it says "Speed Costs You Deremit Points" With the different amount of points you get the higher speed your going.
Got in to a severe but not at fault accident/collision early this year, I got stuck in between a lamp post and the other car and couldn’t get out. I was in a panic mode and I called the police, only had them tell me that they wouldn’t come to assess the situation unless someone gets hurt or killed, then they hung up on me. Today I was driving on a country road where the speed limit was turning from 80 to 50, I saw the speed limit sign and started slowing down 50 meters prior to the sign. The second I passed that speed limit sign I got pulled over by a cop, who gave me a ticket for driving 60 in a 50 zone. All I wanted to say is thank you so much for your service and the effort you put into fighting true crime. Hope you enjoy your lives with our hard earned tax money👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I’m sorry you had a negative experience. One thing that I will say is that you should never be quick to self assess and assume that you don’t need medical attention. Let the professionals make a determination.
In my city everyone drives 10 over and the police dont care (anything over 10 over they do). It seems to be the sweet spot "allowed" range.. is it true that other areas of ontario are NOT like that and will ding you for speeding?
What happens if I blow 110 over 80 and get a Carless. No swerving, no one hurt, no accident, first time offender. No prior driving convictions etc. after my 90 day suspension does that mean I’m free to driving again providing I pay fines, reinstate my license and complete the course if that’s decided in court?
I get my first red light ticket on bicycle pulled by police and got 325$ fine but now i wanna now will there be any demerit points coz that time i was on g1
with my g2. I got a pullover from a highway officer in Quebec; he gave me 3 demerits and a ticket. After a month, I received a letter saying I gained 4 demerits points because I was in a different province. I'm from Ottawa. I got my license suspended for 30 days, and then it was cleared. Now I have my FULL G, and then the RCMP pulled me over for speeding a 60 -89. What would happen now? would I get suspended again would it be noticed only will the points be reduced
When you’re a learner a ticket with 4 points triggers a suspension. As a full G driver you need to accumulate many more points to trigger a suspension.
But will it affect my insurance? Got my first speeding ticket on 401 running 130kph, I just paid the ticket and didn't show up to court cause it's like 2+hrs away. I know it's a minor conviction, but just wanna know if my rate will go up.
I don’t want to understand this stuff, but I am compelled to. Wouldn’t bother me if I didn’t need to wait hours in line, or if the law actually applied to everyone.
@@TrafficServices traffic laws, maybe. But the people who i say the law doesn't apply to do not drive themselves. Why aren't politicians ever investigated in Canada? RCMP says for public order, but i can't feel guilty breaking laws that do not apply to everyone. I bet other people have come to the same conclusion. How could that be good for order? Law & Justice are two seperate ideas.
People still drive like idiots. Driving is a skill that seems to be deteriorating in the last 20years. Every one is following too close is my biggest complaint or speeding just to overtake you to only get to a red light. No understanding of rhythm to driving.
It’s a ticket against you personally if you’re 16 and would be associated to you on your permanent history but the conviction, in Ontario, only stays on your current record for 3 years from the date of conviction. In other words when you’re found guilty or pay the ticket the clock starts on the 3 years.
Hi i just got plud over in qubece with Ontario license i have a g2 and i was speeding about 80 over the limit they gave me a ticket 1700$ and 18 points. anyone have any idea what should i do or what is going to happened . It is my first ticket
oh my lord these stupid demerit points SHOULD NOT be on the g1 test why do I need to memorize how many years my license will be suspended for if I get pulled over and flee the cops??? 😂I already know not to do such a thing failed 6 times because of these ridiculous demerit point questions but passed with flying colors on the rest but still failed because the demerit points weighed me down 🤷🏻♀
I’m getting my G1 soon and I’m doing amazing with everything but I’m struggling with knowing what gets me how much demerit points etc. it’s very specific, it’s stupied lol
omg the demerit points are so dumb like i know if i do something bad on the road there will be repurcussions like I DONT NEED TO REMEMBER THE EXACT NUMBER OF DEMERIT POINTS
