Driver launches car into ravine after hitting electrical box poles 

#KENSINGTON (San Diego) - September 3, 2020
* A driver launched his car into a ravine, with the car landing upside down on it's roof, after hitting several bollards protecting an electrical utility box
* The force of the collision caused the vehicle to launch over, and completely clear, the electrical utility box
* The driver was briefly trapped in his vehicle and called 911
* A passing motorist, Martin Mendez, saw the car go airborne and called it in to 911 prior to the driver calling 911 (see SOT at 02:00)
* The driver was quickly extricated by firefighters and suffered a cut to the leg
* Several distraught family members arrived at about the same time as first responders
