As a retired police officer. Ive gone thru numerous chaotic scenes. Everyone is on the radio non stop. As a veteran officer, you stay off the air unless its life threatening and you need assistance. You dont get on the air and babble.
Just listened to this officer talking about this incident. This really put it into n perspective. Damn I’m glad he’s ok. Our good cops don’t get enough credit or appreciation for what they do. It’s the 1% of bad ones that get the press Glad you’re ok sir

At the 4 minute mark. Before I could continue to watch one more second. I was compelled to stop watching and make sure in the description that this young officer did not perish. I wouldn't be able to watch another second if he had.
This video proves why law enforcement need full paramedic training and full medical kits. The responding officer was completely useless……. He should be fired! He had no idea what to do and wouldn’t even get on his own knees to do ANYTHING! Absolutely pathetic…… I could have done more as a civilian just driving down the road……. Good lord……..
Damn. I absolutely love the description. I think it was his best interest to medically retire and go to college to find a new career path. I don't know if he's married, but if that was my husband, he'd be absolutely doing the same thing!! Too close for comfort. Happy to hear he's doing well.
Great the civilians helped the officer to safety but I would have also taken off the T-shirt and applied to wound with pressure or something. Gone into my house and got towels or whatever to help him. I so hope the officer is doing well.
