Driver's Eye Onboard: Spa Francorchamps - Ferrari 488 GT3 

my only complaint is the transmission is too quiet in ACC. This is an issue with most cars in the game. But this car and the lambo are pretty damn close to real life. The porsche's transmission is waaaaaay too quiet. Like frustratingly quiet

@@BradleyG01 Yeah, I would say AC sound mods are way better than ACC sounds in almost if not all cars that have them.

BasedGod Strugglin' thanks man, trying to make as many of these as possible. Problem is the lighting is sometimes so bad that you cannot see outside the car. We got lucky for this onboard but it was on the limit 🙈

David Perel if you talk to the other driver while there Christopher Mies used to do similar videos, maybe he could help you with that!

Yea mate, I need to sort out the camera. This is an old GoPro Session which has bad Spot-light tech. Only problem is a new one is $$$ 😂

What are the physics differences between GT3's in Corsa vs Competizione

The entire physics engine was re-written for Competizione. So I’m sure if you did a back to back you’d barely know that they were the same game producer.

Hey David, thank you for your reply! I would like to ask you about the difference between the 488 GT3 and the 488 GTE, since you're a professional at driving GT cars. I'm not convinced about why a GTE car is much more expensive than GT3 especially when the laptimes are only about 2 seconds in favor of the GTE, which is not much for what is supposed to be the top GT racing class, and for the Ferrari, the GT3 and GTE are almost indistinguishable apart from different front fenders. So my question for you is: What are the significant differences between GT3 and GTE that would grant the latter one an upper hand on the former? Sorry for the long post 🙂 looking forward to reading your reply👍🏻

To be honest I'm not sure why there is such a huge price difference between racing GT3 and GTE. It's one of the great wonders of the world. I also think a major reason the GTE is so much quicker is purely down to the Michelin tires. So it's not even entirely up to the car and it's technology (which is quite similar to GT3).

@@DavidPerel Thank you for your reply David 🙂 that is exactly what I was suspecting, it is the tyres compound that gives the GTE cars laptime advantage over the GT3 ones since power levels are almost the same.

Our TC in real life is much more detailed. But in ACC I use 2/10 and 2/10 in the Ferrari 488

brake bias, fuel mix, engine mode, comms, drink, pit button, lights, neutral gear, kill switch, ... this all depends on the racing series and driver preference of course

Depends on the track, not that high, at Silverstone we get a quick spike of 3G but for the most part it's below 2G. Not that amazing tbh.

Visually yes, but physics wise... I don't think so to be honest. ACC doing a better job physics wise these days.

I think it depends mate, iRacing feels too fast and ACC can feel too slow. But also these onboard videos that I post often appear to be slower than the feeling we have in real life.

@@DavidPerel When you're sitting in a car, your eyes do not see 75% inside the car and 25% outside the car. Your eyes focus on the objective. So in fact you see primarily what's going on outside the car. It's just one of those crazy things your body does for you, without you thinking about it.

@@DavidPerel And a absolutely brilliant job of driving you did too and in all your other videos I've watched. I am simply stating a fact about what I see a lot, especially with people driving sims. They have their screen filled with 70% of car and 30% of outside the car, or the objective. In no way is this a put down on anyone, it's just that in my mind, driving with such a limited view in a racing sim (even in triple screen) seems like a big big mistake.
