It doesn't matter if there was a malfunction, he shouldn't even attempt to tow it with a person inside the vehicle. That was still 100% the tow truck driver's fault.
But it was still a malfunction. He was towing it with someone inside as maybe a tad (is threat the word?). Some towing companies do that if the driver doesn’t not want to get out of the car. The driver was not directed to get out of the car so if he tried to, the officer could have either shot him or tase him for possibly going to attack the officer. He has to wait until the cop says he needs to get out. The dumb hook didn’t know when to stop going up.
They cant prove it???? The fn tow guy stood there like a FN MORON HE IS IF IT WAS A MALFUNCTION HE WOULD HAVE RESPONDED LIKE A EMERGENCY HE DINT ENVEN MOVE THEY ATE GD LYING I hope he bankrupts this tow company
It doesn’t matter that there was a malfunction. The driver was still in the vehicle, so the numbskull operating the towing machine should’ve never start to lift the vehicle
It started lifting before the operator even got to the controls. I had to watch it a couple times, but his hands were not on the controls when it began.
@@qazxsw21000 then how did the controls get set up under the car? Genius! Listen to what the video said. "The operator lifted the car a little and stopped to get the guy out but it kept on lifting"
Why tf would the tow guy start doing anything at all when someone is in the vehicle? Sounds like, regardless of a malfunction, something is totally wrong there.
Scout About - there’s no way a malfunction can occur that attaches the car and flips it without the driver attaching it himself and turning something on. Neither procedure should have been done at all. There may have been a malfunction, but regardless of the malfunction, there would have been no damage done if the guy followed protocol.
@@DeakE2003 A machine can have a malfunction at any point of the day. Protocol for tow truck is, put the tow in the bottom and then tell the guy to get out as he was actually stuck on the side of road. From what I see the tow truck wire must of misfired and pushed it up.
Kaito Rei - no, you don’t hook something up and start the lift with someone inside. Either you’re too young to know better, friends with the tow guy, or just not very good with simple logic.
@@thesmokinogre Typical. He's stating what he has observed. He's not the racist. Society is. And of course, you're trying to shoot the messenger. TYPICAL.
Okay so maybe the boom did malfunction. But that tow truck driver should not have been lifting it at all, and the cops shouldn't have let him lift it at all, and they both should have told the driver to get out first. Common sense
@@tars7706 they literally say "the tow truck officer was about to tell him to get out when there was a malfunction." The dude said "I should have probably gotten out of the car but I was never told to nor was I aware that the car was being hooked up to the tow truck." Theres probably a few more key sentences on there that identify that the driver was never told to get out of the vehicle and he wasn't told that his car was currently being hooked up to the tow truck.
Even if it wasn’t smart to stay in the car, the tow tuck driver SHOULD NOT have put the car on his truck. He knew that man was in there, and he still continued, that’s the foolishness right there.
I been a tow truck driver for over 10 years. That was completely nuts. This is why im a 1 man show, too scared to trust people, and this driver by the way he acted, looked like this isnt the first car he’s flipped 😂😮
@@wallacestine dude do you think I'm joking!?!?!?! She really would!!! If you watch there videos and look in the comments people make worse jokes than this so shut up
Why would he even hook up the car without making sure anyone was inside, imagine there was a small child inside, a elderly or pregnant woman, I hope he sues
In any case where my car had to be towed, the operator made sure that I, and any important belongings, were out of the car before he started doing anything. That's mandatory. You don't just start jacking up the car with a person inside.
Wow I didn’t even think about that...a jolt like that certainly could have killed an unborn child and to think that there could have been a baby in the back...wow wow wow
@@Psyrecx 50,000 and you want to buy a car. You americans wonder why youre poor hshahah. If that were me that 50,000 going straight towards a bond for a house.
Malfunction makes sense since you'll never have to lift the boom that high to tow a car. However, malfunction or not, this is a good reason not to begin towing a car with somebody inside. Just good safety and common sense practice.
Equipment malfunction? No way. The tow truck person knew the driver was inside his car, come on. He passes in front of the car and the cop is right there speaking to the driver. Don't tell me he didn't see the driver inside the car. Jerk.
Jennifer Hernandez ya it’s definitely standard procedure for the tow truck to lift the car off the ground and and drive away with it dangling. lol it was clearly a malfunction
Why TF would he intentionally flip a car? He was CONNECTING the car, was then going to ask the driver to leave the car. He probably noticed the cop and didn't want to interrupt the conversation
Right! I mean something is weird. The cop backed up when the car started to go up into a dangerous position while they were still talking but never yelled to the driver to get out.
It’s hard to know what future disability might emerge from a concussion. Problems could crop-up at age sixty and he could live to be ninety. That better be a big settlement.

Lmao he isnt going to get that much when he wasn't injured significantly. Probably settle for 20-50k. You can live on that for the rest of your life? Lol
Officer and the driver were talking and didn't expect the tow truck driver to hook up and lift the car with the driver inside it. The Tow truck operator should not have hooked the car up without first approaching the car to see if it had been cleared of occupants. He was hurrying up to do his job and failed to do important safety checks. Dude is a liability and a danger to everyone.
Equipment malfunction = lack of maintenance I've operated heavy equipment my entire life of 50+ years, and the ONLY time something fails is because lack of maintenance
Idk man that scream was gutteral. Usually a secure the bag scream involves words so it can be documented. Something like "oh god I'm in so much pain! My neck! Owwwww!" Why would he do it on purpose? Whats the motive? The guy in the video said the cop never asked him to get out of the vehicle. Its not like they flip vehicles into traffic on purpose.
@@Chrisssss420 why did he hold the lever up untill it started to flip? Then u see him shift the lever down. Its not rocket science up is up and down is down.
Im sorry I do not see what you see I do see the tow truck driver focusing which seems like there was something going on he couldn't control the only thing I saw with his hands was giving up once it started to flip because at that point he couldn't stop it anymore
Right?!?! Even after the car landed on it's head, the tow truck driver didn't seem startled or shocked, and didn't even run over to the car to see if the guy is okay. Wow.
@Supa Trending Daily Geez, that could have gone really, really bad if that flame made it into the tank! As far as the operator, I had the brakes fail on my Jeep coming up to a light that as aboutnto turn red back in January and my initial response was shock and trying them again while sailingnthrough the freshly red light before grabbing the shifter to pull it from Drive, into 3rd, then down to the 1-2 detent before grabbing the handbrake (it was also in Full Time 4wd, so that applied what braking force I had to the front axle too) and using that to slow the truck. Managed to drive it home like that too!
Supa Trending Daily stay calm then just stand there once you flip a car over onto its roof with someone inside. Don’t even attempt to help them, that’s the way huh
Why was the tow guy hooking up the vehicle with someone in it to begin with? That already seemed like a safety violation. Also, malfunction or not, tow company will pay

@@a10miletooth theres a lot of wires that go into a tow truck. One of my drivers had his winch stick on and it flipped a car off the back of his truck. He knows how to use it. Maybe you need to reconsider commenting stuff that you dont know about. The emergency stop might not be in his control box it might be in one of the lockers.
@@Displarxbl-ur4wg Sorry, but that's just a poor excuse. An emergency stop not located within arm reach while at the controls defeats the purpose of it. Is it that you don't understand what it means to be properly trained, because you keep going back to "he knows how to use it". Do you really not know the difference?
Scribble 510 whenever a lawyer is asked to present a case he is always supposed to give an opinion . In this case the fault is clear, and you can see how shocked he was that the tow truck driver hooked and pulled a vehicle with the driver still inside.
J K the car wasn’t hooked up. He simply put the boom in front of the wheels ready to get it hooked. This prevents people from running. Then again each company has its policies.
Yetabyte Most rigs actually have a PTO On/Off switch inside the cab of the truck, flatbeds have them and self loaders usually have them as well. They’re usually located where the J BRAKE button is.
Chris 305 That’s the main pto switch every truck that has a pto has them my point was I’ve ever heard of a “kill switch” after I’m done using the winch, bed or underlift I’ll turn off the pto
@@hunterthomas5876 I'm calling it a kill switch I'm sure they have a different name but it's the big red button that's on the control unit and generally a few other spots on the truck.
