Can confirm they definitely are worth half retail, turned out really good once run in and using a particular switch configuration, but very clear and have thump in the low end.
I ended up going with the quartet when this one came out. I enjoy a nice warm set, and it’s maybe my most comfortable iem other than the ie200. Other than that I barely break it out lol. I like it though, but recently I dug out my fh3 and was kind of blown away. I’d say the quintet is a strait upgrade from an fh3. Are iems really getting better or is it all hype?
Yeah nozzles AND switches!? Goddamn just make one good tuning! Lol. On my fh9 I just keep the balanced filter on, but will try the treble one once I put dampers on the nozzle vent. It’s usually one good tuning and the rest are lacking something, or the changes aren’t even noticeable. I think truthear throwing the ohm adapter in with the red was cool, at least you can experiment with it. I don’t think it’s worth $5 for a plastic 10ohm, but whatever lol.
