Drivers eye view, Wendouree to Ballan, May 2024 

Ah, nice! I went to Uni in Ballarat about 25 years ago. Can see the house I lived in for a year or so near the start. Good times! Also bad times... mostly good though!

Watched the 1977 Australian film The getting of wisdom yesterday, pretty sure the film of the steam train arriving at Spencer Street was done at Ballarat station

Bungaree and Wallace by passed for a 3:45min short cut. That a huge unnecessary loop taken out of the trip. Especially with a large highway servicing both townships now. Better than the old goat track with semi's every 5 minutes of the 1970's, Dad was a bit of a lead foot back then and it wasn't much fun having to overtake them all.

Great video as always. Question - think we could add the track speed along the route? Would give a lot of info for the average Joe.

I've gotten so used to trains traveling either to or from Ballarat, it was mildly surprising to pass through. Even though people must do it every day.🤓
