Poor Tino sounds like he's going through a rough patch. Hopefully he'll get better and take advantage (in a positive way) of your 2nd chance with him, bc he's been a good, hard working guy from what I've seen this season so far. Everybody hits a rough patch in life, but you always seem like you give the good ones a 2nd chance to prove themselves to you. Get well soon, Tino.
Tino ain’t like the other guy who I won’t mention. He a solid dude just going through a rough patch. Hopefully he makes it through and can be back to being right around the corner. 😉
I feel that Tino could and should do better for Ryan and his family he's the man of a household got to lace them boots up baby and get it done he's a good worker he's always consistent constantly has a tool in his hand very rarely see him standing there like big Ray not doing nothing hopefully he can get these kinks ironed out and get back at it
D was an idiot who simply wouldn't accept responsibility for his actions and really took advantage of Ryans good nature. I'm glad he got fired, Im amazed he lasted as long as he did.
I think it's because the Daryl's are gone, especially jr. If you watch previous videos, you will hear Bugs arguing with jr. because jr. sits around barking orders off camera without knowing what he is talking about.
Ryan I just wanted to say that I have been in the construction field for about 30 years and you sir are one of the nicest boss I have ever seen. You always give your guys chances after chances no matter what they have done and for the most part with a smile. You don't find that very often most people just want to scream and yell and cuss you out . When everyone makes mistakes but even if one of your guys make lots of mistakes you always comment about thier good qualities not just thier faults. I know alot is because you have the good lord on your side and in your heart. So no matter what anyone might say about you in the comments you my friend are a great person, boss ,dad and am sure a great husband. Your guys don't even know how lucky they are to have you as their boss. God bless you and your family my friend.
I love how old school Bugs is. A real true hard worker. I'm only 42 but worked concrete for years here in Canada with vets like him. The younger cats will never know the ol man strength until they get there. LOL. Great channel.
I love seeing Ryan Jr getting more comfortable! He seemed a little nervous when he first came in to help you and now he's opened up looks like he's having a great time!
@goober2964 Very true. I work for my dad and people always think that means I got it made and can be late or slack off with no consequences. They seem shocked to learn that's not the case because he expects more out of me than anyone else on the crew.
Ray is PURE COMEDY, he’s learning so he will get better with the small inconvenient things. But man the things he does is so funny, I wish you all the best!
@@peterboyd7304I know right. Ryan watched him bring the wheelbarrow full of wash water over to him then laughing at it before actually telling him what to do
@@cupcakemcgee3175truck driver. Going from truck driving to concrete is miles apart if he’s never had to think about even the smallest things in concrete it’s gonna take time.
Hey Ryan. Near the end when they caution taped the driveway, and you weren’t happy with the way it was done, I’m the same way. We’re not OCD, but indeed perfectionist! A couple of decades ago, I was on a job for a woman that was actually OCD. In her house, she had a framed knitted lettering piece that used the phrase, “Be thy labor great or small, do it right or not at all.” From that day forward, I’ve included the phrase on my estimates and invoices. Thought you would like to use it as well. Or at least keep it in the back of your mind. As it’s how we roll 😂
How cool Jade has her name written on the passengers door. Now in all fairness to the Daryl's and Tinos a business is a business . I'm sure it hasn't escaped your attention Ryan what a significant improvement your employee attendance has become compared to last season. I watched an old video from last season when all you had was Yourself, Autumn and Bugs.
To be honest Tino is never gonna be the most reliable, but he'll put a shift in when he's there. Not fair on the guys that are on time every day, but I've seen a Tino in plenty of construction gangs. I like the man 😂
Think especially because of a specific past employee that took advtange of Ryan, and was late or no showed lots, probably has tested Ryans patience in general when it comes to those sorta things.
I used to be just like that! and recently started talking with a psychiatrist (for separate issues) and found out I have inattentive ADHD and started taking meds for it and changed my life smh. I’m 29 years old and worked through school and jobs struggling while other people seemed to be fine and wondering what was wrong with me… now it’s like I’ve “leveled” the playing field and feels great!
Eric's side work it sub par. Constantly cutting corners. Can't blame Ryan for not giving him side work. Makes him look bad. Hope Eric learns this important lesson. Ryan is a great boss and giving him all the knowledge and opportunity. Up to him
Bugs is the man! He is in a class of his own. It is easy to see why he is your number one right hand man. The younger generation do not have the same commitment to life, work and marriage.
It seems to me that Ray is so nervous about making mistakes that he's making mistakes! It's hard when any little mistake you make in a new job is commented upon and watched by thousands. He'll find his groove soon enough I guess. Great videos Autumn and Ryan.
another fine job in the books for victory outdoors. I get why Ryan places so much importance on the little things like caution tape you get people to focus on the smaller things it teaches them to concentrate more on big jobs, so things are not overlooked.
Bugs is truly one of a kind. This generation just doesn't show the ethic or accountability as the ones in the past. They play the blame game instead of standing up and accepting responsibility like an adult. It's great to know that you truly appreciate Bugs for the great person and worker that he is!
Neither of the Daryl’s would of paid for their mistakes !!! They’d just laugh it off, like no big deal. I definitely don’t miss them. Daryl Sr. with his skaa sounds/noises he made when he sounds excited about something. Not missed by me one bit. ( if ) he was taking stuff that belonged to Ryan makes me even happier they’re GONE. I’ve also wondered if Daryl was taking part of the cash Ryan was giving him to fuel up the dump trucks ? Just wondering, not accusing.
@@timbruns3818 I've seen Daryl's video's. What a POS! At least he wont be breaking any more of Ryans stuff. Now he's breaking other company's equipment .
Idk if you noticed but he has the videos set back a few so when he doesn’t have work in the winter or goes on vacation he can still drop videos autumn is doing a great job tho
I think he's said in the past the videos are put out about 3 weeks after they're recorded so there's a nice backlog. I'm just happy to have constant content, even if it's just running the skid steer at the new lot. :D
There's so much concrete content right now! Ryan Jr started his channel, Erik is branching out and doing his own channel too. We live in good times haha
Nice driveway!!! That concrete did look lighter. I loved watching Bugz picking apart the lack of pins along the forms. Just a true professional there! Thanks for the video!!! Stay Safe!!!
Even tho Eric was referred to Ryan's side jobs. If you do Victory day in day out for 2 seasons + already have previous experience, then there really shouldn't be too much of a drop off in standards and quality. You would think anyways. That comes down to attitude.
I agree with you 100% on the caution tape and anything else when it comes to correct and consistent. Stacking items that has labels in one side, my dad always told us the same as you teach. Do it right the first time.
Ryan, you gave Darul more then his fare share of chances... Do not feel bad, you gave him more then anyone would have expected and more then you should have... You are a wonderful guy to work for from the looks of it, its a shame folks forget how good they have it on your crew.
Gave him too many, thats why he took advantage of ryan cause he thought he could get away with it, guy was dishonest and disrespectful, ryan got good in the end tho,
If Eric going to do it for himself he’s gotta quit relying on Ryan so much anyway and let his work speak for itself, unless they see the side car parking video 🤪
@@jbravo1070this comment doesn’t even make sense. He’s literally just saying regardless of working on victory’s jobs, he’s still making money anyways. Not sure why everyone is attacking eric in the comments constantly.
Your business, your rules - you did what was needed (regarding the firing). We often use paper-scissor -rock to determine what we'll do when no one wants to make the decision! Works like a charm! And... There's nothing wrong with a little OCD, I'm a bit myself!
Id say yes to Daryll, as you can tell JR is a little slow and was only there as a favor to Daryll because of his and Ryans friendship i wouldnt say he was taking advantage.
Ryan's a firm boss but VERY fair, sometimes too fair. But he's experienced enough to know the hassle of starting a new guy can sometimes be more hassle but there becomes a point
I think Tino really is going thru some tough times at home. I hope he gets another chance to be on the team. I can tell he enjoys working for you... dont let past employees behavior and meaningless comments make the choice for you. Tino seems like a good one.
Seems to happen alot. If the whole world came up with excuses not to be at work nothing would get done. We all have problems in life and still get to work.
@@thejoke2791think that was most of the problem tho. He was probably ok for the first part then gradually went downhill and Ryan couldn’t see how far because of how close they were for so long
@@roryb3013 Yeah, I get it. Practically family by then. Hard call to make. But now living in the public eye, Ryan knew Daryls behavior can't cut it anymore.
Usually on Friday nights I'm sitting drinking a couple and listening to music on RU-vid. Lately been watching this channel instead of hearing music. Love the stories from back when you started and love the videos. Keep up the great work and keep it victory style amigos
Bad habits lead to bad performance.......there's wording on the tape for a reason! Don't worry Ryan, your not the only one! Safe travels and blessings to the whole crew.
When you do substandard work doing your normal job as well as your side jobs, that side work disappears in a quickness! He constantly cuts corners and has the "it's close enough" attitude, instead of "let's get it right." Besides, if you can't show up on time for work why would Ryan give him more side work? 😂
Ryan you give way more chances than you probably should, so anyone says otherwise is just trash talking and not worth listening to. Some people are there own worst enemies. Your an amazing person and employer . God bless you sir.
Poor Ray always seems like he gets down when hes about to give you bad news or he knows he did something wrong. I feel like hes just waiting for you to tell him that hes gone even though you can tell he really wants to work with you guys.
You guys are reading this comment wrong. Im trying to encourage Ray to keep going. I can tell Ryan enjoys having him. I think Ray just needs to get used to the humor and social media part of the job. Ryan has his own style and thats why we're all here watching him and his crew.
@@George-dy3ptanyone new to anything makes mistakes which may cost money. An employer knows this hence the reason people learn a trade otherwise without mistakes being made and lessons leant there would be no one left working because they wouldn’t have been taught in the first place. Simple really
It's awesome how respectful Ryan is to everyone. He tries to focus on people's qualities and bring them to light. Even when he has to use a heavy hand it is in a respectable way. Good Work... 🌿🕊️ Stay Blessed..💯. Victory Stamped and Approved
Ray could use a heavy hand. Ray was gonna dump in a sewer drain. He did dump in a neighbors yard before. Like Ray lacks common sense. What's funny is Ray dont know his job but tries to tell other people how to do their jobs.
Ryan, you can't pay attention to the peanut gallery complaints. Let them hire people they think are so valuable. Onward and upward. Look at Bugs coming right up and admitting he made a mistake. He's a champion. So much respect.
as a diesel mechanic I would suggest that you have your mechanic check the brakes on the truck that Ray had to use heavy braking with....its worth it just to make everything is still working properly...love this channel and the content is great!
Agreed, but don't they have to do a yearly inspection on those trucks?...no safety inspection sticker unless all deficiencies are rectified. We do here in Alberta, Canada
I recently found your videos. My son said Im obsessed because I binge watched from last summer to the current season. I am truly enjoying watching your hard work🎉 Thank you.
@@crystalpinkston1718 No worries. It's a ride, from then to now. Ryan at the time would have no idea how much his channel would pop off. I'm so happy for him. Good people need to be seen in the net world. Instead of constant drama for clicks.
@@thejoke2791I agree it’s just a shame there’s so many people in the world who obviously aren’t happy in their own lives they have to come to somewhere incognito to try and tear other people down to their level.
@@roryb3013 I have to admit. I haven't been behaving when it comes to Eric. I was fully behind him and rooting for him, until he called experienced supportive advice, and constructive criticism givers, "Haters". That ain't right.
I’m glad Ryan as a business owner acknowledges that it’s much harder financially to get a business up and running. Everything is a lot more expensive, including real estate!!
Thank You for taking time to explain to us the situation as far as Bugs leaving He will be missed for sure but you gotta do what you gotta do and it's a good thing to not leave on bad terms as well. Sounds like you both realize that it has to happen and I wish you both the Best moving forward as well. I know that we as viewers don't see everything that goes on in y'all's daily routine throughout the entire day, So Thank You again for explaining that to us. I'll continue Praying for both of you and I am So Glad that I found out about your channel although I don't mess with concrete I Love watching you guy's. I can't hardly wait to see you completely moved to your new property, you are very deserving of it all. You have been a Blessing to many people and may God continue Blessing you and your family as well.
I knew Jr was going to get all the side work after I saw he posted his first video. I still cringe when I think about Eric’s recent work lol but he had his chance and blew it.
Completely right with ray he’s new and needs to learn the ropes like cleaning the strike off etc once he’s a master of that side of concrete that’s when you can teach him to finish etc. Perfect example of a good boss. 👍🏻
Guys I feel it's time to , not stop giving Ray a hard time , but just consider how good of a job he actually does just by showing up on time everyday and having a good attitude. You can't really ask anymore out of someone brand new to the trade . Good job Ray. Keep learning and making that easssyyyy money . Thanks for the content ryan and crew and family too. Thanks guys
Roasting the new guy for simple mistakes is pretty normal in the trade game. But yeah, he doesn't deserve the hate by the comments. He's only 2 months old. Roast yes. Hate no.
You're a straight up goofball! He's a grown man and he has the responsibility to get the job done! You're the exact reason why this world is as bad as it is! Make some more excuses! You're just sorry
@@christopherw3221 For real. Age of participation trophies I guess would do that to people. Want a pat on the back just for showing up to work on time. Exactly why the workforce is so poor now, we've lowered the expectations so far already and people want it lowered even more, smh. Give an inch and people will take a mile.
@@trainofthough0242it’s not that the workforce is so poor now it’s that people aren’t willing to be worked to death for peanuts with zero thought about their safety so the good workers if they find a place that they feel respected and treated well will stay for years
Love Ray. I know he's making a lot of minor mistakes now but he's so green its definitely understandable. He's on time, never calls in, doesn't get bitter when Ryan lays on him, and makes people laugh. You have a keeper with big Ray!
yeah except they arent all minor mistakes. any time he gets confronted about a mistake he tries to blame something else besides himself and always laughs about it. he constantly stands around with his arms folded instead of finding little things to do to keep busy. but yeah he shows up everyday so that makes up for it !
@@jfraz_7720 He was hired as a driver that was wiling to learn concrete, Ryan knew he didn't have any experience beforehand which is why he cuts him slack now.
Wish I had a boss like you, I love fixing the little things like that upside down caution tape if I saw it was like that. Also not standing around and being proactive on the job is another big one. It's always the little things that customers look for to see if they like your work. Love the way you support your crew, and I wish I was a part of it!
I don't comment often but this is the greatest video yall have posted. I really like how up front yall were. Sorry that happened to yalls family. I started drifting away from the videos because they just weren't the same but I'm proud to say I will start watching again after this video! That TBL!
Ryan you are 100% right. I work in the parts industry and i can tell you prices go up by yhe week. Its only pennies at a time but its definitely adds up
I can understand why Ryan isn’t giving out anymore small jobs to the other guys. You can’t co-sign somebody and have them do lesser quality work. Ryan’s “Junior Style” first video looked good so far! 👍🏽

Good to see someone using hearing protection when operating equipment especially the big machines. My uncle been a forklift and skid steer operator for years and always denied "ear muffs" because it was "inconvenient"..now he suffers from hearing loss and has hearing aids. Also, he cannot use any "loud" equipment because it would give him headaches by what he told me.
