My Drivewise stopped collecting trips on 12/21/23. Twenty eight days later, I get an email saying it hasn't collected trips in 28 days. Have now wasted a lot of time trying to figure out what it's malfunction is. Videos like this are not helpful! They are just condescending bull**** with no legitimate strategy to troubleshoot. Reinstall the app? Exit the app? Seriously??? How about this: the app displays on the screen what it is trying to do that it is not able to do. "Tried to access GPS but cannot get accurate location". Something like that. Stop assuming that the user of the app is a child! If you want to track my driving, publish an app that actually works!
I am having the same problem which began on 12/21 as well ...I cannot figure out the reason as everything is set the same way now on my device as when Drivewise was able to collect trips.
Have you tried the App Diagnostics tool? Tap Profile & Settings, Drivewise, then App Diagnostics. If that doesn’t fix it, please email us at MobileAppSupport@allstate.com. Provide: your name, policy number, contact info, and type of phone and operating system. ^JE
I have reinstalled the App, checked that battery saver is off, location services on, Drivewise diagnostics shows all green arrows.....still no success.....worked fine on same device for nearly 3 years until recently....I will email the device/policy information later today
Drivewise seems to pick and choose what trips to record. I've made the same trip several times and it has never recorded it, but it recorded trips when I was in Hawaii!

Update on earlier comment .....I uninstalled and reinstalled the Allstate App, battery saver off, location history on ....Rechecked Drivewise Diagnostic which shows all green arrows, battery 100%.....Drivewise shows as on....took a 15 mile drive and still nothing showing for a trip on Drivewise which has been the case since December 21st. Drivewise has worked consistently on this same phone for nearly three years up until a month ago. I have tried everything recommended in video with no success. App store shows that there was an Allstate App update on December 15,2023.... I do not understand what the problem is, unless a glitch developed in the App itself.

@@allstateAll lights green on diagnostic, talked to tech support and they suggested it was probably my phone. if i loose the drivewise discount it might be time to look at other options for insurance .
Watch out for power saving option, dont allow phone to auto optimize the allstate app, that way the app will always record trips. Mine was working very weird, it would only record few trips per month, till i realized the power saving was auto optimizing app use and prevented GPS from working.
Update 4/5/24. I just upgraded from an Android 9 to Android 10 phone after getting the notification from Allstate that Android 9 is no longer compatable with the Allstate App and Drivewise. I downloaded the Allstate App to the new phone and made the appropriate selections for Drivewise....location on, physical movement detection on, battery saver off. I took a 12 mile trip but the phone still did not detect a trip so I deleted the Allstate App and downloaded it again. I made the appropriate selections once again for Drivewise and took another trip and this time it finally detected the trip and recorded it on my trip tally. So hopefully my Drivewise issue is finally resolved.
It recorded most trips TO physical therapy and didn't record them FROM physical therapy back home. I lost credit for at least 14 trips in a period of 1 month (was only looking at therapy trips). On top of that, I had to change the type of trip to "Other" on 2 of those trips for which I should've gotten credit because of "Sudden Braking". I've complained about that before - the calculation is WRONG - to no avail. I am the type of person who looks ahead and coasts up to red lights and stopped traffic. There's no way I'm suddenly braking. Not only am I losing Drivewise credits; they went up $261 on my insurance. This video is meant to placate. My android doesn't even have a "system" setting. Their programmers don't know how to code.
Old phone used android V8 so I got a new one. New phone runs android V13, latest ver of allstate app, no diagnostic issues, rebooted, reinstalled, etc. No issues, still doesn't work. Submitted diagnostic report, no response. Wouldn't mind if it weren't for the nagging emails every few weeks telling me the app isn't working. How about telling me what's wrong? You know more than I do. If you can tell its not working you should be able to tell why.

Have given up. App works only sporadically. Records less than half our trips. App apparently shuts down on a whim without notice. Have done all the suggested fixes. App says it's working but no trips recorded in the last 28 days. App is too unreliable to bother with. It's of no benefit if it doesn't work consistently.

yeah, mine isn't collecting all my trips either. in fact it's only collecting the short trips. And this video is WAY out of date. None of the solutions worked for me because none of the screens or commands were accurate.

Drivewise works great in my car, but cannot activate Drivewise in my wife's car, we have the same Allstate Insurance on the same policy. Is it because you can only use Drivewise per policy, should my wife get her own policy with ALLSTATE. A long time customer over +30 years.
