December 9, 1987: Driving along the West LRT route - 17th Ave SW Calgary, crossing Sarcee Trail (past the old RCAF Wing building) , driving the old rural 17th Ave and then heading north on 69th Ave (can barely see the Mahood Farm to the south). All farm fields; no communities of Signature Park or Christie; no shopping centres; no LRT; no Rec Centre; no schools in Strathcona. Hard to believe so much has been developed since!

This is an amazing video.I've lived in this neighborhood since I was born in 1996. I'm 22 now and I barely recognized any of the drive. This is absolutely unreal.

5 years after I first saw Calgary. Lived there 2007 to 2016. A LOT more traffic I'd say even from 1992.

Oh the memories! In 1987 I was 14 living in Glamis Green, just off of Richmond Road , which is only about a five minute drive from the 17ave and Sarcee intersection.

Who knew 23 years later you would be able to put this up on the internet for anyone to view.
