Those vans are great! My neighbor has one with 400,000. miles and s.till drives it every day! Another friend had one with 450,000. and would still be driving it but he hit a deer and totaled it. Wonderful vans if you take a little care of them! Plus they drive and ride good.
My parents had a '07 with my family of 6, and man was that thing reliable. We would push it past its payload on our almost 1000mile roadtrip to my grandparents, and the transmission wasn't the happiest sometimes when it was in overdrive. However, that van also took us up mountain roads and was used for in-town driving. That van got over 230k hard miles over 14years on it before it was totaled, but probably had several more left in it.
As a Floridian, took our first trip up to Maine this summer and it was glorious to get out of the humidity and 100 degree temps! Can't wait to get back up to New England next summer
Nice trop Rural! The sciatica problem will never get fixed by medical doctors. They just write scripts.Go to a good physical therapists or find a massage therapists who deals in this. Manipulating the muscles and stretching it out will fix you up. Believe me i started with sciatica when I was in my 20's. The doctors told me id never do physical work again. well 30 yrs later i'm still going because of what I mentioned! hope this helps!
I'm part way in, but even as a diehard GM fan I'd say the Toyota will be fine, those things are bulletproof! Your Chevy truck is looking amazing too. Sorry your back was giving you problems, that really sucks.
Well, I'm so sorry to see that you had a mishap. I hope you are recovering well. Pretty good mileage for a weighted down vehicle. It seems like you were the leader of this trip, good for you. Please stay well and safe.
Sorry about your back and your eye, but man, how about that old Toyota minivan?! Can't beat it. Looked like an awesome trip. I also loved seeing all that snow at your house.
Hope ur back gets better I rolled my ankle last year and it hasn't been right since Funny seeing you on the beltway DC and VA I'm on those roads everyday for the passed 25 years and I still completely hate them
Man out of all the 178 cars I’ve owned my two best cars were my 2001 Toyota sienna vans. They are the best and I actually daily drove one for a couple years. Love them.
Another great video, Rural. We watch 'em all. Glad you and your buds got to do a neat 'spring break' trip to the beach. The van did great! Not a toyota fan but hey, it's testament to their reliability. Sorry your back gave problems and for your eye injury. Don't worry....your eye will 100% heal and you will be just as handsome as ever! Good luck!
Literally just messaged you on Instagram, so glad you posted. I look forward to all of your videos. Especially the road trip ones! Can you do an updated video on all your cars? And are you daily driving that Chevy? The one from Seattle
Amazing, trip, the van worked great, the girls are good looking too haha. Hi have the same in my back and its not funny. That black eye?! You been in a fight?! Wish you a fast recovery
Great gas mileage with 6 men and all the luggage, better than six women on a long road trip saying every 50 miles I need to pee and wasting time , could have tied up Jeb on the roof re rack 😀 lol and took him along too Glad you all had a safe and fun trip. Always stay safe and take care .
I resubscribed after catching up with your life. However, I think, everyone including myself, would appreciate an updated fresh new video! Thank you for all that you do!
LOL....9pm...with that prescription I have no doubt you were in and out. Throw those things away as soon as possible. Based on the black eye I imagine the trip was edited heavily. Glad you mostly had fun.
Don’t let that liquid courage get you in more trouble then you can back up bro ! Sometimes you gotta bite your tongue especially around baltimore a lot of road rage with guns !!!
Recover soon! I will never see what appeals about Myrtle Beach...lol. I guess since I grew up in SC, it never was interesting for me. Enjoyed seeing the sights of the trip! That van was a beast.
You made out good buying that one at auction. Knew you were going to make it there and back with no problems!!! Hope you recover well. Sleep heels all. 😁👍🏻
My engine light is on for the same thing on my 02 Camry XLE V6 and when the engine light is on it triggers the VSC and Traction Control once cat issue is fixed special procedure to reset the other lights, can't simply turn engine light off other will stay on.
If you are planning to purchase an older used vehicle, go for a Toyota or a Mitsubishi, as well as a Honda or Subaru, because they are reliable, especially for road trips. I am a fan of the Endeavor, which is a mid-size, truck-based SUV to use for a road trip. Thanks.
My 2004 has the common knock sensor failure code. It is my daily beater and not worth the fix for the advantage of 5th fear mpg. The paint on the right rear quarter panel and roof are faded but guess that is my fault for not washing and waxing.
First feel better .... now i just wonder did the license plate get taken off just for filming the back of the van...or did you make it down and back without getting stopped for no plates on the car? my luck would have been stopped in every state especially myrtle beach at spring break time when they watch for everything..
Do you worry about the timing belt in you auction purchases? What about it failing unless you change it? Like this van, was it done, is there a sticker?
@@ARuralVermonterQqjmcb182 yes, this one has it and thats great, looks like it was looked after. I should have asked in general how do you feel about timing belt engines?
@@petersmith7140 ah. If it is past the mileage and there’s no sticker indicating the last change then I am wary of the buying unless it’s a non interference engine
