Driving a Golf Cart in the Snow! Will It Get STUCK? Club Car Precedent on the Homestead!

Thanks Hilary. We had two storms this week spaced out enough for the first one to melt so they didn't pile up. This has been more snow than what we received in the last three years combined, which is sad. But yeah. Amy wanted to take Flash out. Then she wanted to go over a small pile of snow. Then she got scared that I went too fast. So we are all the benefactors of me doing this in a golf cart and not in the truck. LOL.

Yeah I hear ya on the "back up" beeping sound. Flash was designed for a golf course where you normally drive forward and dont' wanna surprise someone that isn't looking if you're backing up. I'll try to find a way to muffle that sound a bit. Maybe put flashing lights on when we're backing up. We don't really get enough snow for snow mobiles. Most snow melts in a day or less, but this was fun. No, I didn't use the snow blower on either storm. Both storms immediately went to sunshine and started melting the pavement snow. The sidewalk snow was not very thick due to warm days prior to each snow. But it's been colder lately, so that's the only reason this snow stuck around (despite the full sunshine). Our house faces south. The last house faced east, so the driveway needed help when we got several inches of snow. Plus it was on an incline that was more dangerous than this one. But if we get enough snow to bust out the blower, I'll make a video on it :-)

@@joandanza You should try driving it. That beep is not just a video issue. But I have a list of cosmetic surgery for Flash. That is one of them. LOL. It was a fun day. The rain and warmer temps the next day killed the snow. But more is on the way, allegedly.

2023 update - NO SNOW this winter. Thus no snow blower activity. No FLASH OUT IN THE SNOW activity. NADA. dang!!!

We got 4 or 5 inches of snow twice this week. So that was kind of unexpected since we haven't had this much snow in three years. We're on the other side of the state. I-95 is often a headache even in good weather. Just a perfect example of why you need a winter kit in your trunk. You're in MI, so you don't even sneeze looking at this snow. But many people from where we moved from are transients from other states and can't even drive safely in 1 inch of snow. Flash seems to like the snow, except for the hill. So we'll take care of that once it warms up.

Snow? It drives fine (as long as I can get traction). Will be upgrading to lithium-ion batteries since the current batteries produce almost no power in freezing temperatures.
