Imagine being on vacation for the first time in London, walking in and out of various shops and markets and thinking to yourself what a beautiful place-and then a tank rolls down the street.
zudemaster i recently moved to london, went out with my family for a walk down a street..(forgot which one) and i saw a tank driving down the road... i got a couple of pics so im happy XD
i don't think so. They are fighting with tanks, jet fighters day and night in Syria and Afghanistan, and they are prepared for something like that, but we citizens, are not. :/
Gert Scheper There wasn't a Russian state. Troops were Soviets and the Soviets were one of the Allied Powers. Not too long after the capitulation of Berlin, others moved into the capital.
+Sterlingjob Plot twist : You are a nerd working at a school while that happens, and you go all Captain Spock on his ass : Sir, it was going 3.8640147mph, and I had a 6.743539% chance of passing him, also, its "You're", not Your.. *Correcting boss*
"Hey, do you know where are we?" "Yeah, the column is just up ahead." "I dont see the other tanks" "We just took a shortcut, faster way to paris" "Just admit it, were lost"
I would be so afraid to drive that with so many people around, one false manoeuver and someone is crushed....the visibility is not the same as a car....
A guy in a rover took on a passenger train I was driving ,he tried to beat us to a level crossing ,when he knew he couldn't win he hit the brakes hard and stopped before the crossing ,when we went past he had his head in his hands and he was shaking it ,dumb arse nearly met grandma and grand pa ,I don't slow down for boy racers.
It would be very hard for someone not to notice the tank, and while yes, it is hard to see behind you, you can easily stand and see everything on your sides and in front of you while driving a tank. Sorry if that seemed rude.
This is ex British army SPG Abbot 105 mm field artillery civilians can purchase theses vehicles at auctions selling of British army cars trucks tanks and drive down any road in the land all you need is a special licence to be able to drive "Tracked " Vehicles
Whilst working alongside the Royal Artillery, i got to drive an AS90 across Salisbury Plain, fantastic vehicle, and easier than you might think to drive. This looks great fun!
Do valet parking services of good restaurants know how to handle that? What's the needed drivers license classification to operate a tank? Does it fall under trucks or cars heavier than 3.5 tons?
Yes you can. Each state in America has different laws regarding it. In all states the armaments must be professionally de-activated or removed. To avoid damaging the asphalt, rubber tracks need to be fitted or you will likely be fined. You may run into a weight limit but, there are some lighter tanks to avoid this. Some states also will require a special driving licence or additional test. In the UK the rules are similar and there is a thriving market for ex army tanks for various uses.
awesome! why are you doing this tho? is it just because you can or because its 100 years since the christmas trench truce? and did you have to pay congestion charge?
Arnau Vizcarra Miserachs well you can't just let the tank staying idle. They had to keep it running or not the tank parts will rust and that will cost them more than thier budget.
I can imagine the old men coming out of those shops with their grot mags trying to be discreet, only to see their face on the evening standard next to a SPG haha
two questions have you ever been pulled over in your tank for any reason .?. & do you have to tell thee authorities . when you take it to london or chelsea or any where your going in case theirs an incident..
I can just imagine the people sitting in that McDonald's about to dig in to their lunch and out of nowhere a fucking tank shows up and acts like it's just a normal day
Rule one, gross weight rules but tanks trump everything. Kudos to the driver, nice deft control. The people would have freaked me out. I'm a prior service and drove tanks and APCs. If something was in the way you drove over or through it.
Just out of curiosity. How are you allowed to drive on asphalt roads with tracks? In my country, even the military isn't allowed to do that for training, because it greatly reduces the lifespan of the asphalt.
iatsd That's funny, I would have thought that Bonkers Britain would have a million Health and Safety rules detailing why you're not allowed to drive a tank without express permission from the secretary of state.
What exactly would you believe is "illegal" about it? And obviously you're too stupid to realize it's a tank driving experience, says it right on the fucking barrel or what would be the gun.
This reminds me of the intro to the Spongebob movie except its just in tank form. "Oh my... I never thought I would see it with me own eyes..." *grabs tickets* "TICKETS TO THE FURY MOVIE!" *platoon cheers* *everyone starts driving in tanks to the theaters*
