You're in my old hood I was born in that neighborhood is called the Goose. Those burned down apartments 9:18 was called haydel heights it was nice back in the day but filled with crime. That store the lady was arguing by 10:30 is called the owl, It was the spot for the crack dealers to make their money back in the day. I hate seeing my childhood streets look this way. I'm going to clean that area up one day. Because it wasn't just crime it had many people from there that shaped my life, older people that cared. Back when the older people in the neighborhood raised each child as if it was their own. Rip grandpa John and all the people I lost from that neighborhood.
@@mikeyg2558 Hell yeah, back in the early 80s they had people moving around there from the desire project, my big brother and his potnas used to be beating them niggas up all the time, but eventually everyone got cool. Back then people used to think the east was weak, but they came in the goose and seen it was just as wild as any other hood in New Orleans.
@@wooskionehundred1788 thanx 4 the reply bruh. In I'm bout it.. what were those brick apartments that P, Silkk, and C lived in? The ones where Smurf pulled up on P, and the click. I know it wasn't the Calliope but I think they was uptown
@@ImTheMan78 no problem bro, and the magnolia projects. They tore them down around Katrina it’s low income town homes now. Look way nicer. Calliope, magnolia, and the Melpomene was the 3 projects in the 3rd ward they were 5 min away from each other. I stayed in the melph thise was the last projects to be tore down uptown. It was fun a real family environment
Great footage man keep up the good work 👏🏼 , idk if this is just me but New Orleans reminds me a lot of philly in the inner hoods just the south version but none the less NOLA Still a beautiful city 💪🏾
Creole Tatted You aren’t lying about that bmore and philly definitely brothers 💪🏾 from neighborhoods to the way they dress and the lingo somewhat similar as well
ChrisVlogs if you come to the city you’ll see straight timbs beards dickie fits new balance 990s and World Series patched fitteds lol And gonna hear son allll day
I love New Orleans so much but I had to move. I got a 3 year old son and I cant have him growing up thinking murder is normal. If it wasn't for him I'd still be there ain't no where like it! That dude in the video wit the rifle that's so typical N.O. 🤣🤣 everybody knows a killer.
@XRPioneer 504 if that was small I dont want to see a big one. I can only imagine the big one will swallow your whole car, and please dont let it be filled with water from the rain. What a disastrous situation.
@@tawandamckinney3035 a buncha car swallowin pot holes out here, lol. Just gotta memorize the streets so u know where they at. If u don't, a puddle'll definitely mess over u.
Wait -- Is that some weave she picked up @ 11:10?? The way she bent down after picking it up, it was like somebody had gotten shot and she was grieving...
When were are all dead and gone 500 years from now, persons alive then will be eternally grateful for simple videos such as these. What I wouldn't give to see a "day in the life" or "walking down the street" video from 500 years ago!!
Woe you was blessed. As in all hoods u gotta be careful. It was a couple times u almost got jammed up. U ain't even know but being from there trust me. Next time wherever u go don't just sit behind no car like that. Ion now but one time u was going up a one way. U either naive or just all in and aint worried either way be blessed out there.
@Brisket Shorty Africa ain't a hood nor is it a country dumbass. He was clearly talking about the black hoods like some of the ones Charlie Bo have already ventured
@Brisket Shorty I never said that, certain countries in Africa have hoods yes, but the way you worded it made it seem as if all of Africa is one big hood. Learn basic grammar and you won't look so fucking stupid on the Net
You know what's funny? He made a video a year ago in the 9th ward, and there was comments saying "Go to uptown, definitely the most dangerous part of N.O." Make up y'all mind. Even better, go check out his other videos before saying "You haven't seen".
Mr. M down here people take pride in their area being the most dangerous lol you'll always hear dat no matter how many videos people watch. Dats just how it is in da NO
Wards in order that he visited: 3rd Ward central in between the melph& magnolia project until 9:14 9:16 that’s the goose, in the east 11:26 is backatown that’s in the 7th ward 15:27 is Algiers the 15th ward The fact that he was able to make the block like that a bunch time in backatown and central city let’s you know New Orleans is getting better as a city ✊🏽
@Reese Parker at 1:01 before he makes the u-turn if you go str8 across the light that’ll take you to 3ng & the calliope It’s literally 2 mins away. it’s 4:21 too but he driving away from it back to the magnolia & melph side.
@Reese Parker yeah it’s wild and that’s just one small beef. & I maybe wrong but I think they only beefing with frontatown of the calliope. Backatown is the other half or end of the project.
Shout outs to brooks and Richard corner store over there in the 7th ward on Allen had the breakfast plates for each and if you cool enough get anything you need no questions asked I miss that
It looks so different from the hoods of Los Angeles. LA is weird cause the houses and buildings actually don’t look that run down. It’s just super dangerous. Also, the houses even in the worst areas are over $300,000. So you have this weird dynamic of people who are relatively financially stable, but living on the same block as people like this. I feel like in New Orleans unless you’re completely broke and on welfare, you don’t live in this area. You go to gang areas of LA and you’ll see Tesla’s in the driveways, and bars on the windows.
Beginning of the video he by the Melph then heading down Josephine... Making them blocks and they don't know your car will definitely get it sprayed Uptown.
I've noticed the cars parked in these neighbourhoods are always pretty nice. Like you could drive around the fanciest suburbs here (New Zealand) and see pretty much the same minus some of the bigger trucks.
@J. Bar lol this isn't true at all, most these people don't own these homes the rent them. They probably make under 30k a year with several kids to feed.
J. Bar the average income in New Orleans is 33k a year. I agree but it’s a vicious cycle that’s hard to be broken. If you’re around people constantly doing the same thing you are born with that same mindset
The first half of this video is my old neighborhood. As much as I love NOLA and its my home, I'm sure you can see why I moved out. My old house is directly across from the one on the left at 2:44. Fun fact for you, that house had a truck drive through it earlier this year.
Damn im from las Las Vegas what side is that west south east or north..Its poppin over there.. they just all chillin i like that.. everybody minding there own business..
Wow, la Nouvelle-Orléans! j'ai vécu à la Nouvelle-Orléans il y a 9 ans! Je me souviens avoir été confus parce que le français de la louisiane est un peu différent du français standard. Bref, c'était une belle ville Wow, New Orleans! I lived in New Orleans 9 years ago! I remember being confused because louisiana french is a little bit different compared to standard French. Anyway, it was a beautiful city
Last time I was in New Orleans was March 2020. Just for a few hours then flying to L.A.... I bet alotta ppl had no idea their whole world was bout to change cuz of Covid.
