I lived there during my teen years was in the H/S band I have pictures of me in uniform in front of the old municipal. Bldg. Which was an old victorian mansion with an oak tree on the front lawn. There were rows of mom& pop. Stores. bakeries, drugstores soda shops, tuxedo store, luncheonette pizza parlor bar, banquet hall. All gone now. Lodi was a dingy dull place with many textile mills, and bars, like many other surrounding blue collar towns. It has much more eye appeal now, but has lost its character, of old school. Working class, citizens . including my family, my mom's family, and old friends who like me, have moved away to other states. When I look at all those familiar places, It reminds me of my late brother Joe, who passed away April.of 2020 from covid. He was such a larger than life character, who loved Lodi, and traversed the many main , and side streets for most of his life. R.I.P. Joey!
