This trip begins on High Street and heads into the downtown of West Chester. The trip loops around the downtown going past many Federal Era homes and buildings which were built in the early 19th Century. The trip then goes through the downtown area on Market Street and loops back into the downtown on Gay Street. Downtown West Chester has been nicely spruced up in recent years, offering quite a few eateries and specialty shops. West Chester is the county seat and the home of West Chester University which is part of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (SSHE). This trip was in Chester County.
