When I was growing up, I spent many summers with my grandparents in Lodi. This was back in the late 70s through the early 90s. My grandparents lived at 336 Louie Ave. In 1995, my grandmother passed away peacefully in her sleep in that house. I miss Lodi so much. My grandparents and I spent many of our weekdays at Loel Center doing volunteer work. We would frequently eat at the Lyons restaurant that used to be at Lodi Ave & School St. Oh I have so many wonderful memories of Lodi. My grandfather, step-grandmother and my uncle are all buried at Cherokee Memorial Park in Lodi. Lodi will have a special place in my heart forever. 💜 I often listen to the song This Used To Be My Playground by Madonna and I think of all the wonderful memories of Lodi. Because Lodi was my playground when I was growing up. It was, and always will be, a very special place to me. 💜

I'm starting to look at places to retire. I want a place that's small (but not too small), quiet and kind of boring with nice weather. I'm not interested in a resort type place and I want to avoid Florida because I have a insect phobia. From what I see here, Lodi is exactly what I'm looking for.
